Compiled vc90 will work on Server 2003?

I was wondering

can this be a problem if i compile my core on my home pc (xp) using vc90 and then uploading it to my dedicated host - which uses windows 2003 server..??

i tired it starts it runs and was working great untill i updated to 2.4 ,

so now

i have alot of restarts. and no crush dumps...... simply leaves log saying |ascent restartering|.. no matter what database i try , no matter what i do i get constant restarts.

so whats my problem? is it because compiled vc90 2008 , runing on windows 2003 server? or am i missing something?

It works fine, I do the same.

The 2.4 Core is just a bit less stable... I do have sometimes the same problem...

I'm also running Server 2003, and using compiles released here on MMOWNED. Some were unstable and would also simply close as you stated, and others simply wouldn't open. .NET 3.5 is installed etc which everyone kept telling me to do over and over lol

But I have found several releases lately that work fine, but as Nick mentioned, the 2.4 core is fairly unstable still. No doubt it will be fixed in time

The best way is to compile on the 2003 server, then it will work 100%
