    Hello Kynox,

I'm a little confused, because there is no patch-locale-enGB.MPQ. What exactly do you mean? The Spell.dbc from locale-enGB.MPQ is outdated and shouldn't be loaded.

Also, I just realized, my Spell.patch isn't going to be able to patch your Spell.dbc, since your number of columns differs. Could you send me your patch-enUS-2.MPQ (assuming you're from the United States here)?

    Thanks in advance.

    Typo'd the MPQ name. It's patch-(yourlocale)-2.MPQ.

My Spell.dbc, Filebeam - Beam up that File Scottie!

    Thank you, Kynox.

Here is the modified Spell.dbc. I modified spell 588 (Inner Fire, rank 1) to have a duration of 3 minutes and to have no charges. The duration and charges are handled server-side, so to check whether the game has loaded the custom Spell.dbc, look at the description / tooltip.

Please tell me how it went

Post scriptum: I never knew you were the author of WoWMe! You can spank my thighs and call me grandma if you can't solve this.

Just as I said: There is a loading order of the MPQs. If you take it from a old one, you will **** it up.

Schlumpf, I am not sure we understand eachother. I am not placing an older DBC from, for by instance, locale-enGB.MPQ into patch-enGB-2.MPQ, I am modifying the newest DBC file, which is in patch-enGB-2.MPQ and patch-enGB.MPQ.

The game will not load custom DBCs because of checksum checks, which is what we are trying to solve and for that we need to crack Wow.exe.

Well that DBC file loaded fine without any modifications in the latest WoW, as they removed the restrictions, so you must be doing something wrong in the patching process.

Really? Did you check the 'Inner Fire' spell? Did the description change? And in which archive did you put it?

I am not yet ready to upgrade, as my server program (Trinity Core) is at 3.1.3 now. But we're working on 3.2.2a support. But if what you say is true, I have reason to be happy.

In an additional patch-4.mpq, and yes everything changed.

    Hello Kynox,

Thanks a lot, this really brightens my day. Was it the PTR client, or the 3.2.2a client? I am going to test this right now!

    Kynox, Schlumpf,

I have done it I struggled for a while with Spell.dbc being ignored though, all I can say is: set the locale to 'neutral' in your MPQ archiver.

Thanks a lot for your help, you saved me from a world of reverse engineering pain. Now to bring back old talents and priest racials...
