Was a bit bored here tonight so i thought "why not make a little tut".
So, this is VERY basic and for all the newbs.
I don't really have the patience to be a MC'er and want changes spot on. So enstead of normal DBC editing i tend to use ingame DBC editing.
Hook up your favorite DBC editor and find something you want to mess around with. WoW usually stack up items in rows without "chars" and without ID's so don't look for thoes.
A good idea to narrow your search is to search for a few rows like i do in this little tut. I take 3 rows, translate them into a array of bytes and search for them.
In this tut i change the blood type. Its intersting to see that blizzard both utilizes Green Blood (Germany?) and Black Blood (?). However since its just a refrence to a spell vissual you can make some really cool hit effects.
If you are going to spend some hours on leveling or have to spend alot of time doing alot of boring stuff in wow, i recommend setting up a randomizer for this offset and you will see alot of crazy stuff going on on your screen while playing, it can be entertaining at times when rabbits fall from the sky etc.

If you want to take it a step futhre every DBC is located in a long list with simple static pointers linking to the entry of each DBC. The static pointers are located side by side so when you got one, you got them all. So you can easily translate this into a hacking application.
