My suggestion: if you are going to bot, write it all--and I mean ENTIRELY--yourself. Do not use InnerSpace or LavishScript or anything else that might get black-balled and get you banned. If you keep your injected hacks private and don't **** with anything Warden is watching--i.e. don't make changes to the game code--then your chances of being banned are slim to none. If you use something that a lot of other people use, you run the risk, as always, of being caught in a ban wave.

What do you guys think about the LavishScript which is included in IS? Useful? Is it comparable to C++? Well all thise things will take some time for me but I'm willing to learn it.

Well one last security thing. If I will be able to create a NET app which includes an automatic loot routine and inject that via IS, do you guys think that there is a high ban risk? Or do you thing it's fine to inject into WoW via IS?

If you have any other tips in regard to IS or in general just let me know.

    Cheers

InnerSpace is an excellent development platform and I highly recommend it to you.

The way bots are normally done is that an extension for the game is written in C++ and then bots are written in either LavishScript or .NET. I would highly recommend you go with .NET though.

No there is not a high ban risk, its fine to inject into WoW via IS.

Sorry shynd but thats just plain wrong.

There are NO INNERSPACE BANWAVES, the last time that InnerSpace users were caught in a banwave it was reversed and everyone credited with gametime, similar to the accidental Cedega bannings. InnerSpace does not violate the ToS and will NOT get you banned, neither WoW nor Warden checks for its presence.

InnerSpace users get banned not for using InnerSpace, but for running ISXWoW or ISXWarden, public extensions that violate the ToS. If you run vanilla IS or use some of the multiboxing or utility extensions that is perfectly fine.

Normally you're spot on in your posts but as I stated this time you are just plain wrong, I'm sorry. Please keep the unjustified fear-mongering out of here.

    @ Cypher & Shynd:

Many thanks for your help and to print me a roadmap for the future. SO far I'm just at the starting point but your comments gave me a clear idea about my next steps. Shynd, also you blog helped me a lot. So I'm going to make myself familiar with C++ and this will definetly take some time (most likely months to get a basic knowledge). Based on that knowledge I start to play around with IS to get things working for me. Maybe I'll bother you from time to time with some basic questions. Please don't be upset

Sure thing. Post whatever questions you have here (preferably with a small excerpt of the code you've tried and have failed to get working) and, generally, we'll try to help you out. As long as you don't want hand-holding, you shouldn't have a problem.
