The bot is currently down, will be up in 1 hour.
PS: the bot is not detected;
If your friend didn't get perma-banned then it's because someone reported him and when the GM responded to the ticket they determined your friend was botting. If Warden detects 3rd party software you get perma-banned, and 9/10 times you can't get your account back unless you can convince the Account Admin department you were hacked.
That being said I would be weary of any bot that uses memory writing. I would try it out on a $10 SoR account you don't mind losing before you try it on any accounts you don't want banned
Man, I use the bot on my main char, 7/7 HM, 8/8 HM, and I'm not banned.
I'll buy it when the Questing Bot will be fully working.
Seriously just ROFL. Do you seriously think blizzard would tell your friend that they can detect the bot? What would possess them to say something like that?
This entire statement you've done just shows everyone that you're just trying to throw dirt on this noobBot, which in my book is just pathetic.
And fyi, every bot out there is detectable. It just takes time for blizzard to collect enough data so that they don't ban regular people with false positives.
What type of filters blizzard uses to detect, well that's their secret and it's the botters job to try and understand these filters so that we can avoid them. For example they could be something like this:
if("player") online for more than 100 hours
if("player") in same zone for more than 20 hours
if("player") has a steady un-changing rate of picking up herbs/minerals for 20 hours
if("player") kills 1 monster every 20 seconds for 20 hours...
Do you understand now approximately how it works?
And this system is ONLY their automated response to bots. With this system you will ALWAYS get the ban-message "abuse of economy". Then of course since WoW is a pay to play type of game their resources are much higher and thus they can maintain a much larger in-game support staff. This leaves the second type of ban:
Player appeal and then GM looking into your character. Usually what happens is that either the GM just watches your character for 5 minutes or he might teleport your character to some place where a bot would have a hard time getting out. Well its the human factor so lots of different things can happen, one thing is for sure: If you're not at the computer you will get a ban and if its the first time it will always get turned over to a 72 hour ban after an appeal. They usually say some BS like "omg it seems your account got hacked" or "since this is your first offence...". The second time your character gets caught, it's game over 95% of the times if you cant truly convince with proof (ip-addresses) that your character was hacked.
What type of email will you recieve? Well you will get a custom made e-mail from the GM that banned you. Sometimes it says "player used hacks" or sometimes it says "botting"...human factor...
Who am I and why should you listen to me?
Well I've been in the RMT business for about 4 years. I've successfully botted and also of course gotten banned on a multitude of accounts (100+), along with maybe 40+ bans for different reasons. They keep mixing up their filters to keep us on our toes...
30 march perma-banned they confirmed it was a banwave (EU)
The bot is undetectable.
The guy haven't been ban in the 30 march banwave, if you read again his message, you will see that his ban have been lift.
There is NO lift on automated ban.
