Blizzard REALLY hates hacks that unlock the Lua API. It's like a red flag to a bull. (This is obvious from the fact that the previous implementations of similar hacks were blacklisted within days or weeks, whereas nowadays most hacks can go for months or more without repercussions.)

However, there are also a lot more people monitoring Warden nowadays, meaning that it's impossible to detect certain hacks or bots via Warden updates alone.

So I think the answer to your question is "both", and they just really wanted to be certain that they could detect it without people noticing.

Cypher, when are you going to stop fartarsing around with this usermode crap and elevate to the kernel?

Blizz have consistently been unable to detect kernel or hypervisor based anti-anti-cheat systems. Their half-assed Glider detection mechanisms aside, they got as far as their competence would take them with that and eventually couldn't defeat it technically.

Heck, we all know how they struggle to detect even remotely sophisticated usermode protection, e.g. WoWInfinity, HonorBuddy, etc. They clearly are floundering around even now, yet you guys persist in making things easier for them by playing on the same field.

Make the Warden guy actually do some work for whatever shitty paycheque Blizz are throwing his way.

My account, [REMOVED], was closed due to (and I quote) "Exploitative Activity: Unauthorized Cheat Programs ("Hacks")". I do not believe that I have ever used a program to hack the game. If you could provide a list of any times that I have used an "Unauthorized Cheat Program," especially hacks. I would be glad to provide an explanation for each incident. If you are referring to the Flaming Oil item spam, which some other places accuse me of usings hacks to achieve, I only use a Logitech G15 keyboard which abuses the way the item works and allows you to cast it multiple times in one GCD. I did not use any external program to gain an advantage, it was only for my own entertainment.

As a disclaimer, I do 'explore' in the game. Which involves going into places not intended by the developers. I believe that may also break your ToS, but I find it fun and rewarding seeing things that are unfinished and limited to those who have the knowhow to get there (e.g. above Caverns of TIme, Under Stormwind/Orgrimmar). I don't think it should be an offense to enjoy every little bit of content you put in the game.

There's a good chance he was originally banned for exploiting, but, after reviewing the ban, they changed it to economy exploit for his spam and such, then decided to wave it after his explanation of the keyboard. =)

Got my acc back, i called the support/billin guys and nerd raged on them so hard.

Kinda like that, but anyways you have to be very strict with them and if they say they can't help you and tell you to go to the e-mail forms and all that bs then you just say that you wanna speak to there supervisor/manager and ask for there name and they yeah.

That's a comparison of how my conversation went with blizzard me being Tom Cruise.

As Account and billing has NO POWERS whatsoever over suspensions/Bans.

Only way to get support for those thins are via email form to the account administration team. So whatever you said to the phone guy, had no influence on the account administration team.

Unless its completely different in the US, wich i doubt.

Errr what, rhain.. The management of support/billing can unban you, they shouldn't really, but, their job is support. If you can manage to convince them, you're home free.

You just can't call up and say *I didn't hack, unban me* *Sorry sir I can't help you with that, you have tosend in an email* *Oh ok...*. You have to be persistent, tell them you;ve tried the email form, but, you don't feel you got your point accross or were given enough words to desribe the situation in, you felt it was unfair to get one chance, an email, to explain why they should close an account you spent SO long, enjoying and playing on, making friends, etc..

Sell wow as your life, not literally, but, it's a BIG part of your daily routine, you do it to relax, escape from the kids, the kids use the family pc, maybe this flagged wow's security, they installed something.

It's like any type of social situation, you bombard them with information, they'll feel overwhelmed, and hopefully give in and unban you.

I wrote this whilst high, but it should make sense. lol. If not, apologies, will edit later. Also, I'm EU, have had an account unbanned previously by the call centre.

Or maybe you don't read this thread and just like to flip-flop around on your decisions. I don't know. Well, whatever the outcome, either the first email lied or they rebanned me. And if they did reban me, it was most likely due to this thread.

They probably banned you for the Luaninja part this time around. They banned your for Abuse of the economy shit, you got unbanned for that then they saw the luaninja stuff and said oops got to ban him before my supervisor gets in... *clicks*

As for me Im still banned, waiting till the weekend to get a reply of sorts, going to give them a call then if it fails, setting up RAF with another friend who got shafted.
