Lost 22 80's today but it was worth the best fun I've had in wow ever. As a healer/dps/tank I've never actually seen the fights this was pretty amazing. No regrets and thank you Cypher, this game has been terrible for a long time.

Auch, used it twice on my main (used it a lot on an old set of multiboxing accounts though, to own while just sending the macro keystroke to all 5, which I wouldn't have cared about losing), and only used it on a target dummy to see how much better it plays than I do.

used it on my main in november only so I didn't think he would be at risk after being fine for like 2 months after. When I woke up I checked my mail and found some banned accounts from my battle.net account, nothing I was worried about and then at the bottom there was my main's account also. Doh!

Cmon guys, you know what you were getting at! We've seen banwaves hit for years, so you should know the risk. Also Cypher stated in the first post that he believed that it would be detected at some point (though i guess he weren't in for this surprise) . I feel abit bad for Cypher, but it's honestly not his fault. Stop blaming him, and start blaming yourselves.

The funny thing was i failed to even get the luaninja to work. I used it for like 10-15mins and never used it again. Seems thats all it took

Shit happens indeed. I got my 2 year old main account banned, and I'm probably not going to play again until Cata and even then, exploration would have died by then so I'd have little reason to continue playing for long as it's hard finding decent raiding times. Shit happens, don't blame other people for your own bans.

Cypher had all the reason to believe it was clean everywhere, not just on certain OSes/Configurations (I mean, what's the chance of this scenario happening?), and by using these programs you're ostensibly playing with fire and you're going to get burned someday.

In an ironic twist of fate I actually upgraded to Windows 7 recently, albeit x64 so it doesn't look like I'd have been safe anyway (according to the comments on kynox's blog).
