For some people that still cant get it make sure you have "keep wow interface" ON because ive tried it forever and it wouldnt work until i hit that button.

I have no cuse if this does anything with the bot im just pointing his out to people

um got it up and running but if i have this right, its suppose to fish for you ? I got the menu bar icon but when im playing wow it just says i need a target when im standing in front of water

ok i got it to auto csat after twinking with it but it doesnt actually catch the fish... is that right or do i actually have to right click the bobber? Also it mught have to do with the bobber color etc. I dont really understand it i zoom in on it and chose a color but the bobber doesnt change color at all.

Or you can manually turn your interface off (option-z) and keep that button unchecked. That is the intended way to use the bot, but sometimes I like to see what my guild is talking about while it fishes for me -- hence the "keep interface on" button.

Why do I feel like I have to holy everybody's hand on this?

PS - I haven't updated the bot for 2.1 yet (20 sec cast)... I'll get around to that in a couple days.

Your fishing ability needs to be hotkey "1". Replace whatever is "1" with fishing.

Whichever color you pick is the color the bot scans the screen for. You'll see the targetting frame pop up (looks like a [ ] around the bobber) if it finds it. If the targetting frame doesn't pop up you probably need to pick a better color (or move to a location where there is a better color selection). Make sure your graphics are all the way up.

Once you choose a color you need to close the color panel and the settings window to update the bot.

The bot will click on the bobber when it detects a splash (turning your graphics up makes the splash MUCH more visible, thus helps you catch fish).

Next thing I'm working on is automatic lure application (since I hate all the stupid "Your fish got away!") and I'm too lazy to put lures on every 5/10 minutes myself.

A grind bot is a logistical nightmare... even thinking about this makes my head hurt a little, though it would indeed be awesome.
    1) Moving (how do I tell where I'm going?)
    2) Fighting (how do I even know if I have a target?)
    3) Killing (how do I know when it's dead?)
    4) Looting (how do I know where the corpse is?)

I have basic solutions to some of those, but wrapping it on a cohesive package would be crazy -- and I don't think I have the time right now.

Yeah , i agree . A grind bot would be pretty hard , but what about a BG bot . I made one myself using a macro app but if you could design one which can actually run to a certain spot once he entered the BG then it would own (and im sure that its possible by using color recognition) .

We'd need the source code to do that. If you know where I can get that, please, let me know (I doubt it is available) :P

It's currently updated and working internally, but I've decided not to release it since I'm in the middle of a series of new features which are not yet complete. I'd like the bot to be as unobtrusive as possible, operating almost entirely in the background (so I can use other apps while I fish) -- so far this is working pretty well, but it's not done yet. The next version will also include the option to automatically apply lures to your rod, though the support for that is somewhat "ghetto" at the moment (though it as well does work). Outland fishing is a bitch without lures.

Anyway, the old version still works fine (even if it doesn't recast at the right interval), and it's not as if I get paid to make this. If you want a beta version of the updated mod, feel free to buy me a beer.
