Works great for me now +rep
A bot for mac, great. Keep good job coming guys!
so far i have tried this for a couple of hours and only caught one fish. installation was easy if you follow the instructions. getting it to work is a different story and needs a lot more detailed explanation, i have tried everything it seems and still doesn't work.
It's a matter of choosing the right color so the program can detect the bobber. You clearly haven't tried everything.Originally Posted by sawsa
Here, let me post a little diagram for the helpless...
Here's the step-by-step:
(1) Open the Fishing Config window... click the "Set Bobber Color" color well. You'll see the color selection window appear.
(2) Click the magnifying glass and choose any color on the screen.
(3) Move your mouse over your fishing bobber and choose the best, most identifiable color. This may take some trial and error until you get a "good" color. This will be the color used to search for the bobber. This may change as the game goes into day/night and in different areas.
(4) Adjust additional settings. Change the offset and scan radius if necessary.
Then turn your graphics all the way up, zoom all the way in, and start the bot.
how do i set this to pick up the things i fish, and is there a way to sort out the valubale fish from the trash fish

... seriously? You can turn on auto-loot from the Interface Options menu within Warcraft itelf.Originally Posted by RichyG
As for sorting the fish there are a variety of mods you can pick up to help you manage your inventory. I'd check out curse-gaming.com if you need help in the mod department. You might want to check out some of the more popular fishing mods to take care of your sorting/deleting needs.
This program has no intention of implementing anything reduntant.

Im coming back to wow after a year of not playing so that autoloot is a new feature
thanks tho
does the fish in background option (the one that is supposedly much slower) mean that you can have wow hidden or minimized and it would still fish for you.....?

I have tinkered tinkered and tinkered over and over again for 2hrs and I have made it caught about 5 fish(I tried both in Menethil and Redridge). Do you have any other tips?
ok i got it to work but sometimes its too slow it will usually dtect the bobber 17 sec into the cast

The short answer is "kind of".Originally Posted by RichyG
Yes, it can fish with WoW minimized or hidden... however, in order to loot the fish and recast the line it needs to bring WoW to the front for half a second or so (ie, to click on the bobber, etc). And if you are playing with the "Keep interface" option it will need to bring WoW to the front (briefly) to hide/show the interface (option-z).
From a technical standpoint [you can stop reading now if you don't care], it's "slower" because rather than being able to read pixels around the bobber straight from the screen it's got to pull the entire window from the window server first, and then read the pixels for the bobber area. This is a much slower operation -- especially trying to do it 10-20 times per second.
So yes it works in the background/hidden; no it cannot stay hidden 100% of the time... more like 95% of the time (it's still fishing as I type this).
ill be giving you rep as often as i can

does wow need to be in windowed 800x600 mode? my bot for my PC requires that.. and also why does my wow window do black when i turn this on??
Windowed mode... yes (honestly never tested in fullscreen mode). As for the resolution, you can run it at whatever you please. Mine is running at 1491 x 932 right now; it really depends on what your processor can handle.Originally Posted by Stabuindabak
Bigger window can mean more time to scan, so it's entirely up to you.
As for the "black" window I don't know what you mean.
i havent had the time to actually try the fish bot but at the time that i turned it on the screen went black and my guy kept saying "i have no target" ...but then again i was standing in the badlands so that might be why..Originally Posted by reblmonkey
also does wow menu have to be opened every time i log into my compy? like is there a way it can permanently stay in the menu bar?

The fish bot uses hotkey "1" to cast. If you have something else in the slot, it will still press the button and try to cast it (read more details on the about page). Chances are you have a spell/ability that needs a target, which it inadvertently tried to use, hence the error. Putting your fishing ability in slot "1" and standing in front of water helps solve thatOriginally Posted by Stabuindabak
Once you open it once it will stay in the menu bar until you remove it (command-drag it out).Originally Posted by Stabuindabak
