Ive been using this for couple days now, seen vyrgosa once but still not time-lost drake. im camping at 34.66
I fly around every now and then but not constantly.

Do u guys think its better to fly around all the time or maybe a better spot to camp?

To my understanding, the spot you picked is ideal for late night camping but NOT daytime/primetime/weekend. It intersects a few different routes of the drake and is therefore a nice spot, but it isn't an actual spawn location and non-afk players are almost always faster than someone running this program. However you can let it run while you are flying with a couple of your own macro presses in between, it really saves your fingers heh XD. It picked up Vyra for me once when I was staring off into space.

Here are my latest sightings:

~killed vyragosa at 8:33am server time monday march 16th bor's/valk spawn point
~killed vyragosa at 10:09pm server tuesday march 16th bor's/valk spawn point
~killed vyragosa at 5:41pm server tuesday (2:41pm pacific) march 17th brunhildar village (49,66)
~killed vyragosa at 5:45am server Friday March 20th Bor's/Valk spawn point, estimated spawn time 5:40am or a couple min later; she wouldn't descend so it took forever to kill her.
~1:30pm server time friday march 20th 2009, TLPD killed by huntard in the blue drake field east of engine of the makers. I assume it spawned at Brunnhildar.
~killed Vyra 4:00pm server Sunday March 22nd Bor's/Valk


Haven't been camping much since the TLPD sighting; I had two toons, one on each spawn location, but only one macro running. Then out of the blue I decide to install some windows updates to try a maphack from here and my computer crashed due to XP not liking my motherboard. And yeah, it spawned in the 30 minutes I spent looking for my lost flash drive to fix the bug. The alt was hovering over it of course as it spawned and no one else was there, but I didn't want to install the autoclicker on the housemate's computer so the macro didn't pick it up for me. =( A hunter got it in the field below terrace of the makers... at least he was polite afterwards hahaha.

Its use is bannable, but barely noticeable.
You take your chances using my program, but I can fairly guarantee that you won't ever get banned doing just so.

also will muting WoW sound (ctrl+s) work? or will it mute the alert sound as well?

@ Above poster, it does not matter the direction you are facing. It tracks 360 degrees.




I have been using this with a radar since you put it out(had my own simple AHK script before). I think it is of great value to getting your drake.
The reason the radar helps so much is that there are 5-15 people on my server looking for the drake at anytime of the day.

2 examples:

1 - No radar

Your macro gets a hit and you have to search around for your target, which can take too much time and you might lose your target. I lost val this way.

2 - With radar

Your macro gets a hit and you can see where your target is right away and head straight to your target.


ps. was wondering if there was a way to randomly set the time between presses of the macro. Just thinking that now that macros are server side it might be some extra protection to add a random variable with AHK to make it more human.

Help me! It says the "die insect" thing alot, but it doesn't target anything. I fly around and look and can't find anything besides the Wyrms, and a Elite called Veranos or something like that..

If It's saying that shouldn't it mean that it found it?

First of all I would like to thank you for

To write a guide or make a tool is one thing, then actually continuing to answer silly questions is a totally different

I installed this program around midnight last night and went to the makers engine... 5 hours later I was rudely awaken from my sleep ("Goblin song from the brewfest") and when I got over the shock (shouldn't put my master at 100% with headphones tbh) I was just in time to kill Varygossa or whatever her name is. Not the one I was looking for, but I got a blue lvl 78 leatherpiece and a bag wich held 21G, and I got my achievment for killing a rare.

I am rather sure that if I keep doing this I will get my LTPD soon, so I will rep you x3 now, and you can xpect 3 more when I actually catch this baby...

What I would like to see here from someone is map with one or more "hotspots" showing where to fly at night. i read Obama's post and all the others, and I know everyone is camping around the makers engine, but does it matter where around that point?

I was flying south of the makers engine, at the point where the ground around the makers engine goes over into this big crack where the flying things are (harpys i think they are called?) Is that a good spot or should I be camping in the east of it?

i was too afraid putting my toon flying in the blue dragon field, cause they aggro when you get close to them, how do you guys solve this?

EDIT: on a sidenote, this program works perfectly...
Downloaded it, deleted all my crappy macros and made 1 new with the copy paste from earlier in the thread, putted it on 1, bound F12 to it, and fired it up.
Couldn't be easuer and I can't get people who don't understand such a simple guide

If I would adjust this macro and put my hunter on one of the spawnpoints, the tool should pick it up if im lucky too right? or am I missing something here?
