[Release] Time-Lost Proto Drake Searchbot (TLPDbot by blowingCrush)

Hello all, and welcome to my first public release of TLPDbot,
a combination of scripting and macro usage to make your Time-Lost Proto Drake farming less of a finger breaking job.

Let's get started.
First, you'll need the following script:
ventrilo302.exe , named so the name is less of a detectable feat.
It's the motor behind an in-game feature we'll be using, and can be started and paused from within the Windows UI.
You do not need any additional programs to run.

Next up, we'll be making a macro to execute the function we need.
We need the bot to point out the locations of:
- Time-Lost Proto Drake,
- Vyragosa,
- Dirkee.
Since these spawn on a shared interval, it is important to kill any one of them if you ever spot them.
Of course the TLPD is your main target! But you won't find her.. unless you hunt the others too.

Add the following macro in-game,
or
Go to Program Files/World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/<Your Account Name>
and access macros-cache.txt using notepad.
Add the following lines:

MACRO <Number> "time" Ability_Creature_Cursed_01
/tar Dirkee
/tar Vyra
/tar Time
/stopmacro [noexists]
/script PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Creature\\Ragnaros\\RagnarosSlay01.wav")
/tell <Your Character Name> > %t <
END

Therein, replace <Number> to make it the "latest" macro. If you have 11 macro's already, use 12.
Replace <Your Character Name> with the name of the character you'll be hunting your Time-Lost Proto Drake on.

Now, place the macro on your actionbars and bind the F12 key to it.
It is important that you use F12 because it is by far the less used key in World of Warcraft, and it doesn't interrupt actions, casting or chat.


Once you have that set up, run ventrilo302.exe .
It will tell WoW to activate the searching macro every few seconds,
even when WoW's not your active window! You can run it while afk, in the background!
Just double click, make sure it's run from the Tool Tray menu and we're ready to rock.

Once TLPD, or Vyragosa or Dirkee have been found, you will be whispered
>Mob Name< to yourself,
and Ragnaros will yell "DIE, INSECT!" as a very distinctive voice sound.
You may want to enable "background sound" for this, in World of Warcraft's Sound menu.


features:
- 100% unbannable. I have yet to be banned from using this.
- Able to run in background making AFK possible (it will keep your character from logging off!)
- Very distinct indications for noticing and double-checking your target.

in the virus scan it shows that there are trojans found

i don't think it's bannable since it's only a keysmasher in fact (still good i say "only" just to say that it's not a hack or something) it doesnt read the memory or anything i guess so for me, it's safe (please tell if i'm wrong)

Maybe you could give a place to stand to be effective =)

Yes, you're right on both statements (both the first and the last).

Thé most efficient place to AFK around is the South side of Engine of the Makers, this is in the very middle of Storm Peaks.

They are false posotives.. I downloaded it and there is no trojans

Virus scans typically pick up things like this because they appear the same as viruses

One thing, when I use the ventrilo302.exe, how do I know that its pressing the f12 key every few seconds?
The reason for my doubt is because when I check the actual button in WoW, I never see it actually being "pressed down" like it would when i manually press f12

Anyways, I'm curious but this.. I was really sick of flying around, spamming my TLPD macro around stormpeaks, so I gave up a few weeks ago.. but I think I'll test your program

The reason for my doubt is because when I check the actual button in WoW, I never see it actually being "pressed down" like it would when i manually press f12

There's a simple testroutine to it: target anything manually (by clicking it) and the macro will activate every few seconds, confirming you the target in whisper and producing the detection sound.

The reason you don't actually ever "see it being pressed down" is because the signal time is too short to notice the visual confirmation with the human eye.

Yes, you shouldn't enter <MACRO 1 "time" Ability_Creature_Cursed_01> if you're making the macro via the WoW UI.
same goes for the <END> line.
