Okay, im just going to try and make this clear for the people asking "does it work?" and "can i be anywhere in the game for it to target it?"

Yes, it does work if you set it up right.

No, you have to be within normal target distance of the mob for this to work (meaning the distance at which you can type /target (mob) and it will target it.

hope this clears up some things about this.
