Nesox I am having an issue with Luring in the new version.

Everything else works fine. I am NOT using injection.. just old school keybinder style. My issue is.... the lure will "activate" but not apply itself.

I assume that without injection, it doesn't know where to apply the lure. however I could be wrong.

Here are the steps I take to set up my bot.

1.) Check "Use lure"
2.) Lure[1], skill[2], pole[3]
3.) Put the lure I wish to use in Action bar button [1], Fishing skill in button [2], and Pole in button [3].
3.5) Set keybindings accordingly.
4.) Disable injection for looting, luring, and casting.
5.) click save.
6.) Select process.
7.) Click start.

All that will happen is my mouse will keep lighting up waiting for me to apply the lure to my pole manually, and one I do that all is well again until the Lure "buff" drops off. then it gets stuck again.

so I just got it running but I don't understand what it wants for timing or most the options. I can get the reel to cast, I skill level up, but I don't loot any fish after the first cast. What's up?

This bot works great for farming fish, but it's very bad for catching rares. If you get a bite within 3 seconds of the end of the cast, it won't loot the fish or even bring the loot window up.

Changing the timing settings does nothing to fix this.

I don't have the same experience. I've seen it loot with a split second left on the cast using the injection options.

I've tried it both ways, doesn't seem to make a difference. I have low ping (about 25ms), so I don't know what the issue could be.

I've tried it both ways, and it still behaves the same.

The issue appears to be the delay between the bobber bobbing, and the loot window popping up. If the fishing cast wears off before the window pops up, it just doesn't pop up.

Autoloot only seems to affect the behavior after the loot window pops up.

EDIT: A guy that posted on the bottom of page 62 seems to be having the same issue as me

Try 2300 - 3000 for "After looting", and 1700 - 3000 for "Prior Lure" (that's what I have mine set to).. then fiddle with the numbers from there, depending on if your server is lagged. If so .. raise the numbers a bit. Also .. remember that the numbers are in Milliseconds.

Noshelter, Please try adjusting the timing options, as per the above Q & A. Looks like whats happening is your experiencing lag, and the bot it trying to cast before it's finished looting. Especially if your fishing in high population areas. iealaran, Shattrath.

Also sounds like maybe your fishing level isn't "Quite" high enough to successfully catch what your fishing for? .. Make sure you have a lure applied.

Now .. if you mean "Rare fish" as in BOP fish. ie:Old Crafty, Sewer Rat... then try this addon.

I'm maxed fishing with the epic pole and the hat, and I'm fishing in the fjord for a non-BOP rare. I'm over the cap for the zone and I am not losing any fish due to skill.

I've tried adjusting the time all the way up to 10,000 ms, with no change in results.

What happens when I increase the "after looting" time is this:

If the bobber triggers within 3 seconds of the fishing cast ending, the cast ends before the loot window can pop-up and the loot is cancelled. After that, the bot then waits the pre-determined amount of time in ms, and casts again.

It doesn't matter how long I make it before the next cast, if the loot window "pop-up" time is longer than the remaining cast time on fishing, I get no loot.

It's a simple matter of the bot not reacting fast enough to the bobber. It's the same as not clicking it manually before the fishing cast-time finishes. The bot takes ~3 seconds after the bobber bobs to "click" it. Therefor, if the bobber triggers within 3 seconds of the cast finishing, you get no fishy.


I've tested this in every configuration, I am not mistaken.


My question is this:

If this bot is reacting to my bobber slower than it is reacting to yours, what could be the cause?

Did some more testing and recorded some times.

From the time the bobber "bobs" until the bot "clicks" it is almost exactly 3 seconds on every cast.

Because of this ~3 second reaction time, anytim the bobber bobs with less than 3 seconds left on the fishing cast, the fish is lost.
