Also, just a note to everyone: You do not need to press F8 anymore. The MEFix is closed before WoW even creates its window.

You DO need to press F8. If you don't then you won't disable the keylogger.

Let's see, if I understand it like it's meant to be...(and maybe I can make things clear for some future posts)...

A MPQ file is like a ZIP file : It contains other files, and must be "unzipped" to be used, in the game or for further editing. That means, when WOW loads it's textures, it'll unzip every MPQ file in the "data" folder to your RAM, and overwrite same named-files, using the last one loaded in the list (starting, so, with official stuff and ending with your "patch-x.MPQ" and so on). Those files are textures, used to display every "block" in the world of warcraft, like a house, a freakin' murloc or even your character.

Before 3.0.2 (with the "damn" barber shop), those files where made, for your character, in one piece, because there was any purpose to do it in another way. So, your MPQ where made with the same conception : One edited model with one file, and all those files "zipped" in a MPQ.

After 3.0.2, however, your character is in parts, and those parts can be changed in-game through the Barber Shop. Which means there isn't just one file, but a bunch of them, to define the model of your hair + the model of your character.

In conclusion, it's the MPQ that became "outdated", and developers/model-makers should release some new .MPQ with multiples files for one model. And WoWME can't change that fact.

    Am I right ?

(and sorry for some grammatical errors and so on, I usually speak french )

have you guys tried remaking your list in MES then remaking the mpq?

mine worked fine doing that, haven't had any problems except the lack of working dbc edits.

Should work after you've done that.

I have no idea why one helped me understand the other. Maybe this Dr. Pepper helped refresh my brain. Oh, well. Trying it now.

EDIT: It worked. Thank you for the advice!
