I do not use model editing but rather i use dbc editing (Spell.dbc for example). Before patch 3.0.2 i've used WoWME and all was working just fine. But now it is not. With WoWME client just close right after it's started without any error messages. I think something more was changed in client with 3.0.2 patch, not only memory address WoWME is patching.

The reason your screen is black or your chars are not compiling correctly is because you need to recompile the Path List in Gltchy's MES. To do that, when in the Race Converter, click the button labeled, "Create List." Then click yes that you want to recompile your list. Once that is done you must remake all your .MPQs!

Thats it, with the new WoWMe thanks to kynox BTW <3, you just have to recompile that list and remake your .MPQs and after that it works.

I've been trying to make new MPQ's for awhile now, and I can see that I am an undead on the login screen. But every time I try to login it just shuts down.

Anyone having the same problem?

I kind of got careless a few times and forgot to hit F8 before logging in (old versions gave you a corrupt game error) and it seamlessly logs me in. Since it didnt unload the DLL, has Warden logged WoWME or something of the likes?

IT MEANS YOU HAVE A BAD MPQ AND/OR DBC EDIT AND IT NEEDS TO BE MADE AGAIN WITH THE NEW UP-TO-DATE (3.0.2) MPQ ARCHIVES!!!

(EXAMPLE: COMMON.MPQ IS AN MPQ ARCHIVE)


So, with that said, please, all of you people posting saying your WoW opens then instantly closes...


STOP POSTING THAT SPECIFIC PROBLEM IN THIS THREAD AND MAKE SURE YOU MAKE MPQ/DBC EDITS WITH THE RIGHT MATERIAL.

(If you're using Glitchey's MES to change races, update the list file when you click the Race Changer option)

The reason why I posted my last post was not to have people ask me for a working DBC edit.

I made my last post for the sole purpose of stoping people from spamming this thread with the repeated and known "My WoW is opening then instantly closing" problem people are having, and to give the answer as to why it's happening, and the WoWME isn't the problem either, it has absolutely nothing wrong with it (Confirmed by me) so really, it doesn't technically belong in this thread.

People will figure it all out, people will make guides, and people will make new DBC edits. Just give it time.


Also, I'm not exactly sure... But is hair styles/color changes a DBC edit? If so, that works for me. So all in all you either have to figure it all out on your own, or wait for people to figure it out.

hair colour you can do via dbc edit or swapping textures but changing hair style is dbc edit only afaik.

i have no idea how you are making that work, tried like a dozen times and no luck.

any chance you could post how you did the hair style change? or if you did anything different from the guide.
