This is a great idea! Real life money auction house have got to be the BEST idea I ever saw from blizzard! If you take a look at World of warcraft, there is so many black markets out there selling items and accounts and services and so many people getting scammed. We wont see that in Diablo 3! WAY TO GO BLIZZARD

Anyway, back on subject. Cash shops aren't new. They've been part of F2P MMOs for a while now. Blizzard has been slowly feeding it to the minds of avid WoW players via the blizzard store (star pwny anyone?). Hopefully it won't spiral out of control and blacklist the game (which is pretty much the same speculation that arose when they implemented purchasable loot to the blizzard store). Blizzard seems to do a decent job of "feeding the monster" though.

Last but not least, the always online subject. Well, you honestly can't say we didn't see that coming.

While i like the real money auction house, the always online thing is pointless and lame.It's just as lame as starcraft 2's no-lan. If they are doing this solely to combat crackers, they are really dumbshits. All the new copy protections and etc. always get cracked. Some may not, but for a big title like d3 its certain.All these new fancy drm methods ultimately do nothing else then annoy legit buyers.. :|And besides, not everyone has an internet connection at ALL TIMES, so this decision would if anything lead to less sold copies.

Real-Money auction house is shit. What happened to Blizzards statement in Wow? "NO real money will be able to be spent on ingame items." And now, just because you don't pay every month, they want people to start paying on the auction house? Geez... Blizz. Really? Like you don't have enough money already! X_X About the 'Always online' I don't really care, since it wont take long for someone to reverse engineer it and make private servers which you can just host on your own computer. Just like people did with Wow So I doubt that's gonna be a problem. Publicly, maybe, but most smart people are just gonna go private server :P Thanks Newtech
