Just in case you haven't heard about the new changes to Diablo 3, Diablo 3 will include a real money auction house. In addition, all players will need to be logged in online to play Diablo 3. How is the player base reacting?
What does this mean for players who don't have an Internet connection? Diablo 3 uses DRM (Digital Rights Management), which means that it cannot be played offline. id software, the creator of popular game series Doom, has praised Blizzard for the decision.
Since Diablo 3 uses a real money auction house, mods and addons are expressly prohibited. This is to help put players on even footing to make a real world profit off of the game, and it is obvious that Blizzard will crack down hard on hackers with the latest Diablo title.
What do you think about Diablo's "always online" mode and real money auction house? Post your reactions in the comments below.
