HC tool give error,
i'm on win 8.1 x64

1) i don't understand why it ask that i dont have msvcr120.dll, because i have it, and its proper path are win\system32 not syswow64
2) after i copy that dll to syswow64 it give blahblah (digits and letters) - Application error, Error on application launch (0xc000007b)

Are you playing in the new build on the tutorial map where it forces you to listen to Uther the whole time (since that seems to be the only way to play a normal map with bot heroes)? If so, I'm pretty sure the tutorial settings override what the patcher is telling it to set the ai to. Until someone figures out to get bot heroes on the Blackheart's Bay practice map, it seems this build is mostly borked from an actual gameplay standpoint as half the talents (including almost all of the new ones) are unusable as well.

I had the same problem, quick fix for it is to delete those files from both locations, and download new one from one of those DLL sites. Make sure it's win7 x64 compatible. (even better if its for win8 itself). I'm on win7 and it did the trick. (NB! you dont have to copy the new file to the mentioned folders, you can just paste it inside your games root directory!)

have 29406 version, when I try to start it, it show Starcraft error: fail to download latest data from blizzard servers, how to fix it?

after removing attribute `read only` on all files got same error but, with different message : some files missing
guess have to indeed downloand full game again from different source ; /

difference is only in BNTData\data folder
in working version
.idx files are with lower numbers in it
and file data.002 is less on 100mb in size
however chaning this files reversing error back to : can't download latest data from blizz's servers

Downloaded the latest alpha client from the Mega link and it won't even launch :/

I get this error "This folder doesn't contain the correct version of this game. Please check the installation path and try again.".

What do i do??

90% of the time this is a firewall issue. You have to allow Play.exe to send/receive requests.

it's not firewall, same identical client but with other sized data files are working fine
so what other 10% then

Check my thread here, I've uploaded a map pack. Not sure if its the same as what TOM uploaded though, since he took his down already.

Extract the "Maps" folder to your Heroes of the Storm folder, then run HeroesConfig.exe and select the map from the dropdown menu.
Note: There is no AI on these maps currently, but you can still explore the map mechanics.
