Fake GPS on tablet = safe?

I know that Niantic can detect Rocket API connections and android emulators like Nox / Bluestack.

How about using Fake GPS Apps on devices like android rooted phone or android tablet? I will not jump to another country, just to nearby city (cause I live in rural area).
What do You think about this guys? I think it should be safe.

All these people are just BSing you. We really have to test it out. The key to it might be what your ip address location shows up as. Safest bet might be to use 3g/4g mobile data connection since your exact location can't be detected by niantic. I don't know how much they can actually find out and how picky they would be. We will have to test that out by radius. If your 3g/4g IP shows up as xyz city and you gps spoof within those city limits then will you get banned? How about if you spoof the nearby cities? etc etc. Trial and error is the only way to find out. Also your GPS spoofing habits will have to be very accurate. No sloppy spoofing.

Figuring out if the app based GPS spoofing will get you banned is for sure something that needs to be tested. Most of the people who say it is detectable is because they were using it very obvious. If you live in California and you are spoofing to NYC central park then of course you are going to get banned. So obvious.

It think is not detectable by the network 4g. If the site https://www.iplocation.net/ tells me that my region is OPorto but I am 200km from there.

I don't have a android, but it looks safe from reading the comments. Don't try on a account you don't want to risk losing.
