What do you think about this being "safe"? Not fighting gyms, just catching and sitting at lure modules with lucky egg.
it doesn't matter if you simply catch, walk or do gyms battles. Its all the same.

Everyone should try this, but first have an open mind. Set your update interval to 60. Grab some tinfoil, and wrap it on the back and sides of your phone. It block the gps "fused location" etc from updating as fast. i been having issues of teleporting/rubberband, since i tried fake gps/no root. Once i tried my tinfoil method i have not teleporting/rubberbanding effect. give it a try, also it will not work if you have a phone case. you have to put it close to the phone bot itself on the back.

I was talking about the risk of being detected moving only max. 5 miles from my home.
I mean how would they even find out?

its all the same, even if you're on your real location.. the app runs on top of the game app. sooner or later they will find out. But like I said, at this point Niantic can't do anything about it(prove that your're cheating). That's why the system just soft bans you.
There are games on other platform that successfully prevent other apps from running on top of the game app, so its possible for this platform too. I suggest stop worrying and enjoy this while it last.

I use 2 layers of ultrathin tinfoil round my phone (shiny part outside) and then put my rubbercase back on and remove every foil sticking out.
Works perfect, no need to change interval

GO-GPS works great, make a route and let it walk, pause walk and catch pokemon, continue walking, with the tinfoil trick there's no rubberbanding!

Hey there!
Somehow, the trick doesnt works for me. (On a Galaxy S7 Edge with Android 6.0.1)
I Used the high GPS settings (WLAN GPS and Mobile and activated the history). :-(
The foil trick isn't working for me.... regardless how many layers i put around my Phone :-(
Anybody got a third solution
Thanks for your time and answer!
Greetings Chris
UPDATE:
GOGps seems to work without any softban so far, i followed the advice to put on some layers of foil too, while using this App

You can reduce rubber banding, but that requires a rooted phone.
The phone gets its GPS data from several sources - aGPS and built in GPS receiver. The GPS spoofers either:
1) Feed false information, ie a fake aGPS data
2) Add an off set to the data after an initial fix.
Either way, the real GPS or aGPS from network/wifi will override your application and hence you jump around.
You can significantly reduce this rubber banding by disabling Fused Services in your phone system. This is the area where data is combined and concensus arrived as to your exact GPS location (if data is different).
There are multiple apps that can do that, including:
Disable Service - Android Apps on Google Play
IT NEEDS ROOT PERMISSION.
Start app, switch to system app, find Fused Services, disable it, REBOOT phone.
If you want full accuracy for GPS for real world use, eg GPS guidance, then you need to re enable this service, and reboot phone.
On my Nexus 5X, the rubber banding is severe - every 2-3 seconds. Disabling it reduced it to a more manageable level of 10-30 minutes. I may get soft banned. If it happens, I simply switch to a different account and keep playing.

The tinfoil trick works perfect, thx!
I put 2 layers of tinfoil between my phone and my case and have no more rubberbanding. Had it like every 10 mins before, thank you

Seems like tinfoil works for some and for others not.

Does anyone have the issue of getting softbanned regardless of Rubberbanding?
This never occured on my S3 but now that i am spoofing on a 10.1 Tablet i can get softbanned just standing in the same location with 0 rubberbanding, yet when i DO rubberband i dont get softbanned at all (A distance of 100km or so max)
Is this a new security measure implemented by Niantic? Or are some hardware types giving different information to PoGo Servers? Im so confused.
tl;dr Never been softbanned on old set up with an S3 but getting softbanned like crazy on a 10.1 tablet. Rubberbanding does not cause this
