get a big piece of tin foil fold it up a few times and wrap it around the back of your phone. kinda like a tin foil backing case works great for me. the few times i do rubber band i have never gotten a soft ban since using tin foil. dont know why but ill take it lol

I had no end of problems with rubber banding on my Nexus 5x - it would do so every 2-3 seconds. Disabling fused location did not work.

I tried GoGPS! (from a spanish speaking developer) and it has the option to disable fused service in the app. Installed, disabled the fused location, changed settings, reboot phone, and it works and rubber banding no longer a big issue. I might see it one or twice an hour. Not sure what happened or why it worked, but it did.
