I can't agree, there is no source, no proof and some informations are just wrong.
- Where did he see that over 700.000 acocunts have been banned?
- The account deleted information is kinda useless, we know that they WON'T delete our account just because they banned us or that would mean we could immediatly create a new one, nosense...
- The flag theory is nice but again, any source or proof? That just wrong, some people never logged on their phone with their bot account and have been banned, also i've been permabanned on my google account and i can login with my phone on my PTC one, Niantic won't ban you if you recreate a legit account and you play on the same phone you have used for botting, so no that's just wrong, i know it because i did it and my legit account is still alive.
- Multiple accounts are NOT safe that's against the TOS and forbidden by Ninantic
- Reporting people doesn't give you any flag or any ban, that's just ridicuoulos and again, no source no proof nothing, not even a dev talked about that, that's just fantasy.
- All rest are just informations we already know that they read this forum, that they don't block bots because that helps them to flag them etc...
You can't just post that here and say trust me or not i don't care, there is no source no proof and most informations are wrong as far as we know.

Actually the Dev have never mentioned anything about the bans or what cause a flag on the account. Actually I think he mentioned that your phone or device ID would be FLAGGED and not banned. A perma ban would probably occur when a certain number of flag has been raised.
I agree that Niantic wouldn't ban a legit account even if it was being logged in on a device that has been used with a perma banned account before, but neither would I disagree that the device might be flagged, but if you played legit it should not raise another flag thus resulting in a perma banned so that might be the reason why your legit account is still kicking because you didn't raise more flags.
I don't understand why would people keep pressing for source for this kind of information, do you guys mean if no source is shared, you guys wouldn't take precautions? We should take this piece of information as a guide line to follow to minimized the number of flags raised. Following the advice mentioned would help in the botting journey instead of saying there's no source and whatsoever. Bottom line, if there isn't any source, then you wouldn't take all these precautions seriously? It's doing more good than harm.

At least we try to have decent informations with a minimum of review with others players, not just giving the illumination with new fantasy theory, that's most of no sense and absolutely no one said anything about something like that.
Ok it's a nice theory but based on sand and dust.

The only solid source we are able to receive would be from the Dev themselves. But then again, if the Dev can afford to give us solid source of reason of banned and what triggers it, it's probably fixed already.

i don't remember to give permission to niantic/pogo app to read my device id. if they do, we can sue them for violating privacy.

I have no reason to doubt the veracity of the guidelines laid out. Seem pretty logical.
If true, biggest mistake Niantic is making is triggering bans only to then to officially terminate the account 1 week later with an email.
I spent some money on the game on my main account which was later banned. I subsequently disputed the charges with Apple since my access to the game had been revoked without notice or reason.
I did receive a full refund on all the in app purchases. It was a pretty easy contest. I told Apple I no longer could play the game, I tried contacting Niantic on numerous occasions about the issue and they did not respond (all true).
Seems like the flag method could be constructed to ban and notify simultaneously instead of banning, waiting a week or two and then notifying.
If I got banned and was legit, even winning an appeal would piss me off as my ability to play the game will have been revoked without cause for an extended period.

It's only speculations, nothing is confirmed here and some are wrong.

You obviously did, at least on android you see the permissions the app wants and you could deny them.
After that they maybe mentioned it in their terms and conditions you needed to accept.

I understand your concerns that basically everybody can come up with their own theory and then tell us that he heard it from some Google employee who also happpens to be his friend.
But do you really expect of people to give away their sources by their names and surnames, maybe even the name of department where they work ? For what purpose, to help Niantic/Google fire and sue them?
Anyway maybe some information might be wrong but even if we can't confirm the sources we can still say that it sounds plausible and maybe the best guess we have right now.
