In a few weeks when they show the ACTIVE playerbase to their game, the investors will flip their shit

Exactly, keeping those users but restricting what they can do in the game would be a much better way to go. that makes everyone a easy happy day.. and for the company for sure..

There are many people likes you. Some are not living in a right place, and some are just do it for their son or daughters to make them happy. Maybe we should spread the message out to the game developer to consider allowing botters but only to collect variety of monsters in this game.. how about $20 to pay to convert from the bot account back to a legit account with full functionalities...isn't that a great idea from the company revenue point of view?

It's Niantic we are talking about. If you take a queue from Ingress they just ban the accounts that spoof and that's it. They have no support, no PR, nothing. I would have expected them to at least hire some support after the huge amount of money they did with POGO, but I guess they can't spare a dime for that.

now i try to report someone in and see if ninatic Ban by number of report (that will be F up)
onyone like to help me out. I will keep checking on local group to see if anything happen.

1: If you can not use any gym functions, would you still like to bot day and night to develop a CP 3000+ dragonite?
2: If you are allowed to have your bot account just to collect monsters, would you be okay with that? and do you still needs 20 more accounts like that?

My answer is no, yes, and no....

Challenges Niantic is facing:

1: Botters way too strong in gym battles ( not fair)
2: Botters have too many accounts ( slow down the servers)
3: Too many Botters to deal with ( Pain to fight or lose)

Isn't that obvious what's the right solution?

True, but it should tolerate the people who just can't do that for whatever reasons. Blocking them out doesn't seems to be a right solution..

The purpose of the game is to make money, period. There is nothing altruistic about it in spite of the claims to get people out and about and moving.

Very soon, you will start to Niantec cutting deals with commercial entities where they will have "Poke Nights" with promises that rare Pokemon will spawn.

They will start to generate serious revenue on the other side of the ledger. Instead of relying on the user to buy extras, they can generate revenue selling to big business who can drive traffic.

They need rare pokemon to remain rare. Botters make that impossible, especially with a trading mechanism due in the future.

Played a character legit up to level 22 and things like Dragonite's, Gyrados, and a few others were a pipe dream. Never even saw one. I do not live in a rural area either. It may not be a major population center, but it is a large surburb of a pretty major city.

I couldn't care less about gyms and pokecoins. Actually my goal in game was to gather all the available pokemons for my little girl so she could taste a bit what her daddy had when he was in his youth.

So no, I didn't cared that my dragonite was 1 CP or over 9000 CP. Actually I was botting but just had one account. So as you can see not everyone plays the game for the same thing.

According to some reports, yes they do.

In my honest opinion, I think that they are checking the APK/IPA signature among other things like altitude, speed, pokemon catch ratio, etc. If they are indeed matching the signature there's no way to bot even with human like settings, the server will insta flag you for review because it knows you're not logging from the official client. That would explain how they are catching everyone, even if they keep at a low speed and correct paths.

This is logical. Except it doesn't explain the handful of legit players that got the message. I think it may be this plus all the other things we've brought up. They just flag anything that doesn't match up.

The bot I used doesn't have gym, sniping, or any other functions like that. It was just pokestops and pokemon. I was mainly in it to replenish my pokeballs and walk my eggs, since I don't have a lot of pokestops nearby. Hell, I got the exact same crap pokemon with the bot I got driving around. THere are no good pokemon in my town. The most excitement I had was finding a Hitmonlee at the mall. Other than that it's pidgeys all the way down.

Already done on reddit, can't find the link now. The person basically got 3(?) of his friends to report his legit account and Niantic banned the said account.

I had a very shitty idea but if we all start reporting normal players/noncheaters( yes i am a terrible person )and they ban them creating negativity towards the game, wont they have to unban everyone or atleast make a statement about it?
