My PTC account that I haven't botted in some time logs in fine, though, even on the same IP.

Update on my situation, guys.
So, yes, I am one of the unlucky ones who've got the "Failed to get data from server" error. No, I have nothing to do with catch flee, pokestops or anything else related to soft-bans.

First things first, I only have the "Failed to get data from server" error on my main account, which is level 29 (oh man, and I really don't want to lose it). The other 3 accounts I ran at the same time with my main account, have no problems, and everything works just fine on all 3 of them.

So, talking about my main account now, the one with the error:

Until 12 hours ago, or so, I was able to login without problems into my account from Pokebot.Ninja, (I was able to catch pokemons, spin pokestops, snipe, etc.)

But, after a couple of hours, when I tried to login from my phone, I got the "Failed to get data from server" error for the first time.

Now, after more than 6 hours, I believe, I rechecked if my account was still getting this error, and surprisingly, it wasn't. Instead, the thingy with "We are humble tralalala" appeared, and I started to have hope again, that this issue will be solved in our favor.

Will keep you updated on my situation.

For everyone getting the "Unable to retrieve game data" error....
Try going to PTC and making a new account with same username - If it's available - your account likely was deleted off their main server (you'll never get it back).
If you used gmail login before, when creating a PTC account, down below in the registration you can check screenname availability. If you can use same in-game screen name, likely deleted off their database.

Also to clarify for others. The screen name check I'm talking about is the one at ptc's website:

I am deleted on my main account and I just registered a new account using same screen name. Started botting again with one of the hex-edited necro's. Sigh I lost so many 100% dragonites and snorlaxes.... so sad!

Update: Disproved by a friend on discord. He checked my username ingame instead of on the website and saw it was unavailable.

They must still be banning people. Long after this thread was made-- and I stopped botting but continued playing legit on my phone-- I received the ban. Which tbh I'm fine with since I only botted the game because I knew I would have quit otherwise.

not true there can be 2 usernames 1 under google and 1 under PTC does not mean account deleted

The username is a name ONLY YOU can see and use to log in.. much like your gmail account when logging in with gmail. There is no relation between PTC Username and you player name..

Another user has also stated that PTC and Google accounts are on different databases and do not share the same screen names, so it is possible for 2 people to have the same name if they are using opposite log ins. Unproven but a point nonetheless..

This was the test for me to see if i'm completely done for. Now that I know for sure, with zero hope remaining. I started a new PTC account and started botting slowly again =p

my main account was the one i spent $10USD on. And it was banned. So that wont be a stop gap measure.
