We took risks botting/sniping. Niantic has voiced out that they do not tolerate cheaters, like most companies, they just don't. Just because for the past weeks we were not banned for it, it doesn't mean Niantic is not doing anything. Remember that they didn't focus on banning players before since their priority is the servers' stability. Now that the game has been released worldwide and servers are running smoothly, it only makes sense for them to do this. The very first moment I botted, I already accepted the fact that I'll be banned 99%.
If you aren't able to log in to your account for the past 24 hours, just consider yourself banned. My take on the "data error" message is that we're being blocked by the servers from logging in. It's not hard for Niantic to figure this out. All the necessary info's in their system and we provided it by playing the game with bots and snipes.
Let's just consider ourselves lucky that we've experienced gaining rare pokemons and taking on gym leaders with ease which most regular players who are really out there haven't done yet. I personally don't mind if Niantic hasn't sent an email regarding the ban. It's better that way rather than shaming us by posting a list of all cheating players on their website.
More info here.

Funny thing is , the PTC account i botted on from lvl 14 to lvl 24 is unbanned and working perfectly , but my Google account which i played normally (no gps spoofing) , but used bot from lvl 21 to lvl 24 (needed more stardust) is not working.... what the hell is going on

Game data failed for me too since yesterday, and I didnt leave necrobot opened during the night.
I have creted yesterday a new one and did ome snip and got some softban on it and a new one just now circling around a constant lure stop in my city.
Both accounts still fonction, but I am getting "regularly (ERROR) Pokemon Servers might be offline / unstable. Trying again..." messages, so here is a possibility that they really did ****ed up their server big time with their last update.

The data error came up right away or did it ask you to update?

First time: loading stuck (no message "failed to get data") - no prompt for update
Second time: we are humbled by your presence - no prompt for update
Third time: downloaded most recent apk >>> failed to get data

That link is not legit from Niantic, they're just speculating and using this situation to get clicks and have some other news for the people. I know all that and I can't disagree with you, we all knew that for a fact but still, I would like to be contacted by them with a lousy email that would explain to say the least.
I'm glad I had the experience and what makes me sad the most it's just I'm gonna lose the account I used when it all began. Of course I botted a little but still, I'd rather see them getting rid of all others accounts I actually botted hardcore than this one.
I already consider myself banned because I can't login for the past 30 hours or more but still, I'm gonna wait to see how everything is gonna turn out because I still have the same percentage of hope for this to work that I had for not getting caught. 2% xD
We'll see man, but thanks for the insight anyway
