All utilities - bots, snipers etc use the same API. To Niantic, it really doesn't matter if you are using it for sniping or botting, you will look the same to them as any other users here.
They may have their own criteria, but if you put in so much effort to manually level your game to 30, it is definitely not worth the risk for the few Pokemons.
You should get a second account, one which you don't care if it gets banned. With a bot, your second account can get to level 30 in just a few days.

Same here. First thing it sniped was a Magneton which I had deleted from the list. Double checked and it is for sure not on the list. So the list is not actually working with 1.7.

Customize the user.xml and change the settings to what you want.
Then run the bat file "autosnipe.bat" instead of Pokesnipe2.exe.

On Mac OSX, simply Bootcamp into Windows or setup Virtualbox to run Windows. Google how to do it if you are not familar. Lot's of Youtube videos show you how to do so.

You have to update the user.xml with what you want to catch and also set minIV and minCP to limit what is captured.

It's in the user.xml file.

Inside the user.xml, just scroll down to the section
<AutoSniper>
<MinCPToCatch>800</MinCPToCatch>
<MinIVToCatch>90</MinIVToCatch>
<PokemonToCatch>

Wish there is a way to specify to use Ultraballs or Masterballs. At 30+, using Pokeballs is almost impossible to catch good strong ones. Almost always flee.

how to run it without constantly getting softbanned with the autosniper
