Just to clarify some points, detect the "fake gps" app is super easy, the creator of the app actually made a topic on reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/c...help_you_guys/) talking about this, he said:
"It is quite easy in Android to check if the location you received is from a Mock Provider or not (only requires 1 line of code"
So basically, when spoofing via fake gps, you will probably receive your ban sooner or later.
I would say boting is safer, from what I saw the bot running he doesn't spoof the location and should be more difficult to detect a mock location coming from a PC since Pokemon Go is not running, only the connection interface is active.
I'm botting with 4 accounts.
2 of them I used fake gps before.
The other 2, one I only used to create the char and direct into botting, the other one I didn't even bother to setup the account, bot works anyway, running from level 0 without even an id.
I will post the results if any or all of them eventually gets a ban, but for now, everything running smoothly, not even one soft ban.
Someone just replied on the topic with some of the info capture on the packets.
So it has your carrier, phone information etc. If it ever changes, they would definitely knows about it.

Botting is not safer than spoofing. Have you ever worked for a game studio? They literally can make their own internal tool for checking for botting/teleporting/etc and there is often a single person that handles the tools without delay.
If anything they are testing their anti-cheat right now and people that are doing stupid shit like running multiple bots will get flagged immediately. This isn't Diablo 3 where the game is dead and Blizzard doesn't give a shit.
This is a game that has generated almost 400M since launch. Blizzard wishes their game made that much money and they are a massive developer.

No, never worked on a game studio.
Didn't compare with Diablo 3, that btw made way more money to Blizzard and still has a lot of banwaves.
And everybody is talking about Niantic as they are a big bad company that have all the tools, just to remind that november 2015 Niantic had about 30 employees, they are a minor company.
The current Necromicon bot doesn't teleport, it walks like a human being, and you can set up the speed too and from what they discovered from that code, yes, botting is safer than spoofing in your cel.
I've worked for a game company and they only care about botting/teleport hacking/stolen accounts/gold farmers. Period. They will not ban you if have spent $200+ on in-game transactions. If you aren't buying anything and disrupting the community while hurting legit players then I can guarantee you that you will get banned. Anyone that thinks differently is just ignoring the facts.
[secret]Those settings can be modified in Nox[/secret]

Always had this impression about game companies, if you spent money, you probably wont get banned. In D3 for example I botted A LOT, but I also have 2 collectors edition, WoW special edition, Starcraft Collectors Edition, Blizzards Passes, etc
Never got banned, well, I always made the setup of the bot manually based on extensive research of the settings and everything but I botted at least 1.2k Hours xP
On Pokemon Go I started an account from 0, didn't even set up an id or anything, bot works the same way, just for testing, will post the results here if a ban wave ever come.
Niantic for years only gave soft bans on Ingress from what I know, I know a couple of friends that played for more than a year, they used gps spoofing sometimes and the max was a soft ban of 1 day, for you to receive a permanent ban you needed to abuse hard from spoofing, like jumping 3 continents in a row on the same day. Let's see what happens on Pokemon Go.
If I spend a ton of $ on the game (few hundred. I'm crazy af) and just use Nox inside my country (Florida to New York) what are my chances of being banned? (Your speculation) xD
