[Help] Router problem - LAN cable not working with it

Hello, like topic stated, I got the following router:

Sitecom | Product | Routers | Wireless Router 300N X3 WL-342

And this is the setup of my lan cable (both ends are set up like this)



Now my problem is, for some reason it doesn't detect my lan cable at all. Everytime when I plug it in, the lights on the router are not turned on, and on my PC it stays the whole time stuck at Enabled, Shared > Network cable unplugged and repeating itself.

What I did was configuring my lan cable again as the picture above, so I already tried fixing the cable, but unfortunately still not working. I even switched the router under waranty support but still futile.

Now my question is, does anyone knows how to solve this? Is it that the setup that I did for my lan cable is wrong, or is the router broke?

edit: Forgot to mention it, the lan cable does work with my laptop, so I guess it's my PC problem but don't really know how to fix it.

The PC Im trying to get this work on is a medion akoya p7700 d (MD884 , originally a Vista PC, I upgraded it with Win7 but couldn't find any driver updates with it.

It works on your laptop but not your desktop pc? That's really odd.

Have you tried to buy a LAN cable? They're quite cheap you know.

Maybe the pins aren't pushed in far enough into the RJ-45 male connector?

Well even if I could buy it, the problem here is now that the cable is through the wall if you know what I mean, and the cable doesn't fit through the hole (when the plug is attached on it) so no option to buy a new cable. And I've doublechecked and the pins are all pushed in far enough.

Well, I think it's the drivers or something but can't find it on the medion site lol.

Alright, have tested it with another cable source and yes it seems that the problem is my driver for some reason. The driver I currently have is Intel(R) 82562V-2 10/100 Network Connection .

Now I wonder, it does work with a realtek pci e gbe family controller driver that's installed on my laptop.

Would it be possible to copy that driver and then make that a standard driver for my PC? If so, how do I do that?
