What does it mean to tag a thread properly?

I got a warning for not tagging my thread properly? My tag field was was empty, how is that not tagging it properly?





It doesn't say "You must tag"

I've been on this forum since 2006, and this is my first warning regarding threads. Can someone explain the new rule in terms of tagging threads?

He means the pre-fixes, like so:

[Tag] Ohai this is a topic.

That tags is the nick-name for the pre-fixes that nobody has stopped using, real tags (like shown in screenshot your showing) are used for key words in SEO and searching etc.
