[Review]Astro A40

Comfort
Now i gotta say, i have only had 4 headsets. 1 is the astro, 2nd is carcharias, 3rd some cheap leather crap, and 4th turtlbeach.

Now, there is alot of padding in this thing, i have worn it for 8 hours sraight playing The Witcher (btw great game) and only had to take them off because my ears got itchy. they fit my head well, ears dont sweat or hurt.
Sound
Ok, now the mixamp is pretty much what you want. The astros themselves sound like the carcharias by themselves. Of course without 5.1. Now these headsets with the mixamp is the bread and butter. You have TRUE REAL 5.1 surround sound, awsome sound quality if you have the TOSLink cable, and the sound is crisp and clear. Now the main reason why you should get these is the small knob in my pictures. This changes everything. If you turn it to the voice side on a ps3,xbox,pc on a online game, it lowers the sound of the game and whenever someone speaks they are louder. Same as to game. Now these have almost no bass, so if you LOVE bass i suggest you get the seinheisser or tritons. But then again, you want to hear people behind you(which works in bad company 2 and mw2, these help alot.) Or a big explosion or gunfire and thats it.
Mic
Now, when i first tried it, my friends could hear me better than before. They could hear me very well with this mic. I gotta admit, this is the best mic out there in my opinion. Cool thing about these are you could have it on either side of the headset.
Design
Now this is what changes most for headsets. This one looks awesome thats for first. But lets talk about support. These are quality made, good material, and i would say hard to break if not on purpose. Now the awesome feature is the speaker tags. These are magnets which clip onto your headset. I got the Upper Playground edition so mine has the walrus, but you could actually make your own and buy them. You will never have the same as anyone else, or you could make a design for your clan or something.
All in all
These headsets are great. If you dont like the headset then get the mixamp, they work with other headsets.I would give this a 10/10 if it was me because of how the sound, comfort, and design are. Mic is also awesome/
