What do you think about the new patch?

Personally, I experienced a thing called FUN in vanilla wow. Vanilla wow as in everything before TBC. I worked for my mount, and my guild congratulated me when I finally got it. Back in pre-tbc, BG's TOOK SOME SKILL, nowadays you are up against a team of 7 ret pallies, 2 death knights and a druid in wsg.
Players were mature in pre-tbc. When I actually wanted to do some raids in wotlk, i'd just get the generic "WHAT ARE YOUR STATS? YOU GOT ALL EPICS, YES? DPS 5MIL?". Back in pre-tbc, it was even fun to wipe. You tried, you died, and you can try again. But lo-and-behold in wotlk, if you wipe once, all the immature brats ragequit.

The only fun I can even find in wotlk is the inginuity of private server owners :l

In vanilla doing instances felt like a challenge everytime, people had to be on top of their game every instance. and that made it fun, the challenge. now healers can just leave an addon to heal everybody and dps is a joke. if you played pre bc you knew how much of an accomplishment getting to lvl 40 and finally getting a mount was like. people would congratulate you for getting that... now you see a lvl 20 straight out of wailing caverns riding being spoon fed because they dumbed down the game to retard level.

So basically blizz put a big lulz in my face by saying , "oh btw remember how you had to work harder for your levels and tooker longer because you had slower mounts and learned to appreciate everything more and learned more about WoW? We gave this newbies shortcuts to prevent that, no need to thank us!"

++ the 5 man is yet another shortcut for players imo. Epixxx.

But the bg is good


This patch is bringing to my eyes the idea of maybe blizz setting up a program - hell id pay extra- a seperate Vanilla server sort of like how runescape has classic scape. I mean they would draw old customers and and make profit.

Vanilla WoW was just... wow.

I remember when we first cleared BLW, everyone was so ****ing happy, screaming and screaming with joy. We wiped several times, but in the end it was awesome. Now every noob with noobish gear can do naxx 25 man heroic.

I remember that in Vanilla WoW when you saw someone in Stormwind or Orgrimmar with the Judgement set or the Bloodfang set you thought this guy was awesome. Epics meant something, they were hard to get.


I remember back in Vanilla WoW how hard the Grand Marshal rank was to attain, and only the true PvP elites would get the epic gear. Now every noob can leech off BG's and get better gear.

I remember that in Vanilla WoW getting an epic mount was a true achievement. Doing the Paladin and Warlock quest chains was also a true achievement. Now every noob can say "pls 4 gold" from his guild and get a normal mount at lvl 20, when we hardcore players got it for 100g at level 40. It is not jealousy. If you think this, you are a noob.

I would so like those days to come back, but it's impossible. Blizzard have already done too much bullshit for it to happen. And if the Cataclysm info is correct, I'm gonna find a nice little Pre-TBC WoW Private Server and I'm gonna stay and play there, and I will NEVER look at the wow-europe site again.

i just dont like the thing i payed like on all my chars to gether like 13K GOLD on mounts ( flying moun to) and now they got like 600g .... kinda stupid

Mmorpg's always evolve, I hope that Blizzard has some sort of a plan behind these leveling changes and stuff, but it sure makes me want to level a few alts and so. Before, I hated to level new alts.

All of you who say it stinks, why do you still play? Something in WoW must be fun. And I'm sure that the last(?) raid in WotlK will be hard enough NOT to pug, but remember that in TBC you could pug BT (atleast on my server) when SWP was out. Plus I don't think t8,5 isnt as good as people say, Ilvls are already at 258 and I think they'll rise to 270+ which makes t8,5 obsolete.

I HATE IT! THEY HAVE TAKEN SO MUCH FROM US FERAL DRUIDS ALREADY! WHY TAKE MORE!??!!

the new patch sucks
all my work for ulduar emblems has now been flushed down the toilet

and i have lost my lvl 60 oldschool char due to the new lvl through bg shit

and now u get epic mount at lvl 40 and normal at lvl 20 rly cheap

I voted awesome b/c this patch has allowed me to catch up (and soon to pass) the general player base without spending a ton of time playing the game. Though I do not agree with getting t8.5 lvl items from doing ez-mode heroics, I must say I am taking full advantage of it.

The reason I needed to catch up in gear was that I had quit for 8-9 months.

Not really impressed with it, it certainly doesn't make me want to log in and stay for hours and have a great time at it. I'm beginning to think I'm paying 14.99 a month for a chat box and not a game.

good and bad. i like the new mount lvls and prices. alot more convenient for people leveling. i don't really like the BG XP crap though. and the dk nerf =(

Yeah, its ok to get some easy gear. I do agree with the others tho, WOTLK ruined TBC raids, TBC ruined Vanilla Raids. The new raids arent bad, they just ruin the old good ones.
