Animated Display Picture

Hi! Ive seen many peaple having their display picture animated. So i saved an animated pic as a .gif file but when i uploaded it here its all still :/.

Should i upload it at imageshack or something first or save it as another format?

Are you trying to upload straight from your computer, if so then I recommend you upload to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket first and try importing from a URL.

If its bigger than 90kb or whatever, or larger than 80x80, it resizes it, while also taking the liberty to compressing it down to less than a kilobyte (We here are greedy when it comes to server space) You then get an artifact-ridden, still picture. To prevent that, resize it first to 80x80, then upload it to any image hosting site, and say to use the link as your profile picture.
