If you're just working with a home network your router should be assigning your IPs via DHCP and you shouldn't have any issues with the same LAN IP on the network. If you want to set a static IP you can either do it via the web-interface for your router or you can open up your network connections in windows and set it there.
Network Connections -> Right click your LAN adapter -> Properties -> Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) -> Properties -> General Tab -> Use the following address -> Enter your address -> OK -> OK
Or do you mean your external IP outside of your router?
