If I make a static IP address on both of my computers, and say Blizz bans an IP address, can they tell I am lanning and ban both of my computer IP addresses or would they ban my router IP?

Are you talking about the external IP ? the internal IP ? or the MAC address ?Originally Posted by spongebob7

If you need me you have my skype, if you don't have my skype then you don't need me.
External and Internal?
It all depends on how your network is set up.
More than likely, you were only assigned one IP by your ISP, and your router is using Network Address Translation (NAT) so you can have private ip addresses on the lan side.. 10.x.x.x, or 192.168.x..etc..
The thing with NAT is that it's only visible on the local (LAN) side. To the rest of the internet, you only have one IP address, no matter how many computers you have connected to the LAN, or how many private IP addresses you have set up.
So, no, Blizz can't tell if you're "lanning." But, if they decided to ban the ip, then both of your computers would be caught, cause you only have one ip.
Unless there's special circumstances, and you actually have more than one IP assigned by your ISP. In that case, they would be apart from one-another, if one was banned, the other would still be cool.
