Get past school blocks/Edit ur school accounts

DAH. i finally found a comp and acnt i can open cmd on ...but, when i type a command line it just says "error #5 occured. access is denied"

If your school has PowerPoint or Word, type random text, highlight it, then hit CTRL+K (create hyperlink). Put the hyperlink as "c:\windows\system32\command.com" and click ok. Right-click the text and hit "open hyperlink". VOILA! Command prompt.

BTW, I set up a SOCKS proxy to play WoW at school and it's pretty cool stuff.

SOCKS proxy? Which is...? I know what a proxy is, but what is SOCKS? Kickass! +rep :-)

IF you can't get to notepad open up IE, right click, view source and woola notepad.

I can't get notepade to run Command Prompt It comes up and goes in the blink of an eye.

i had that problem too, and what i did was tried a bunch of different computers and eventually i found a few that worked. use the notepad technique. (mentioned earlier in this thread)

when i type in the site that im trying to get past it just says: 'www.sitename.com' is not recognasied as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it?

u don't type in www.sitename.com u type in wutever site u wanna get to then type the ip address it gives u into the address bar

every school in my state uses macs.. or else everyone would hack past ****

macs make it even easier!

to to the same this just open a terminal, & type ping www.sitename.com

is this doesn't work open network utility theres a ping utility in there!

alternativly heres a lil apple script for you that will return the ip of a selected site

apple script copy & paste BETWEEN the ****

this should leave the terminal window open for you to view the IP address, systems admin can delete the temrinal icon but it is essential to the running of a mac so cannot be deleted at all. Also due to the poor managability of Mac terminal cannot be added to a deny executable list as once again it is integral to the running of the machine.

i dont literally type www.sitename.com i type whichever site i want such as www.killsometime.com or www.youtube.com and it still says that... any help?
