[Tutorial] 3D looking text

Was messing around a bit in photoshop when i ended up with something i kinda liked, so i wrote this tutorial about it.
*edit* the background color isn't #2c2c2c, i accidently had 'webcolors only' checked, so it automatically changes to the nearest color.. (doesn't really matter though)

Oh my god, I love your tutorials, I do not do graphics or use and stuff like photoshop, but your tutorials.. Impressive.

*cry* does not work for me... it doesn't select the text when I have to select it that I can delete the drawn colors

Now we want these colors on the text part only, not all over the canvas. So Ctrl+klick the text layer on the top. This will select it.

This part isn't working for me ;&#176;(

But the end Result is still not good =(

Hmm not sure what exactly went wrong. From the looks of it it seems your gradient isn't half transparant. (or the color layer isn't in the right blending mode)
for the ctrl+click on the text layer part, it should work. try clicking one time in the canvas (so you don't have another window active) and then do it (and ctrl+click on the image on the layer palette instead of the text (think both work, but i'm not 100&#37; sure))
