600 highlights - dodge and burn - filters - etc.
It's Photoshop, there's about 4-5 means to each end.
Also, I assume that when you are creating a signature, you're not working with a canvas that's pre-sized to the max allowable dimensions of a forum avatar, I'm sure you're working with something larger, higher pixel count, and etc.
Sizing an image down from something much larger with a higher resolution, does it's own 'fixes' of what might be various pixellation mishaps...which DO happen.
So my main crituque is this, 600+ highlights layered in, is a bit much, and possibly slowing you down from a product that would have looked exactly the same if you had used a faster method. Being exact might be important, but detail gets lost to the eye the smaller the image gets.
But the work, it does look nice, I can't say it's got anything weird about the color palette, tones, or lighting you created.
Rating 8/10.
Final product looks nice, hearing about the superfluous amount of possible 'extra' work, makes me think you could whip up something very similar in far less time.
