transparent or not, there is white space as i can nearly say for certain you do not use 6kx6k reso as your "skill" isn't near that. photoshop's main background(unless in a MAC environment) has a white color to it, being overly bright when working on images. hence your eyes straining to refocalize on the content = a more enhanced image versus the flat grey of mmowned which is an entirely different mood and color variance= duller.

Really you guys should learn about color theory, it is everything. Environments around the artwork can change the artwork itself softly.
