This one's for my girl, Jamie.
Time and again has the thought of her kept me alive while out there on the job. It is, in fact, to our girls (or mothers, wives or sisters) back home that we owe our tirelessness. These women's patience, their love, their understanding, their strength, their truthfulness, make their service to the country no less valuable than that of the most dedicated grunt. It is they that are the true "lean, mean, green machine".
I love you, booboo! Thank you for existing!
PS: Jamie is actually getting this tattooed on her left shoulder a day before i leave for the Sandbox again, to show her support. How sweet is that..?
Oh, and, i had originally drawn this with the NElf leaning on an M4 carbine. But Jamie wanted a Stinger (for reasons i'd rather not disclose here).
