    [Question] Small Animation...

In my signature, would it be possible for me to add a small glint gliding along one or more of the yellow streaks by dodging the necessary sections in different frames of the animation feature in Photoshop?

Basically wtf should I do lol?

As always, thanks in advance. Y'all are great helpers.

EDIT: DO NOT REPLY IN THIS THREAD, MY PROBLEM WAS ALREADY SOLVED.

Photoshop takes the literal piss when it comes to animation, but if your looking at a simple section of the sig to be lit up, your considering using Clipping tool and if you seperated the brushed / c4d rendered layers, and you would want a certain section of that to be glinted then you would have to seperate that entire section from the rest of the C4D / brushed layer (whatever)

Sorry, but you don't really sound like you know what you are talking about, so it just confuses me. I'm no pro, so I 1) basically don't even know what a C4D is, and 2) have it all in one layer.

Also, I just had the idea to just use a kinda silvery streak go down one of the lines.

well your on the right track i guess just dodge section by section on each frame or get a 5 pixel soft round brush and pick a colour thats eye catching and click along the line.

except you have to make a new layer for each change you make and asign them to the different frames or you can just tween it.

yes it would be in gif and i don't think gif is a big file.... so it wouldn't effect anything much.

I'll take you up on that.

I really want to learn so I'm still going to try it, but if you could just do it, doesn't need to be fancy, just a slight glint, and kinda explain how you did it to me?

You was the one who asked quite a confusing question.
Atleast you gave a guessable answer,

k im done if its to bright or fast ill change it but whats more import is how i did it

    1) i made a new layer and filled it with black
    2) i then clicked filter > render > lens flare i then messed around with those options
    3) i then made it so it was in the center to get the full glare
    4) i then set the mode to screen just above the layers pallete
    5) i then clicked window > animation
    6) i clicked on the first frame and positioned it at the begining of the path
    7) i then made a new frame and put it at the end of its path keep this frame selected
i clicked tween which is the button to the left of the new frame button
    9) leave it all at default but change the frames to 10 or higher if you want it to be smooth but slower.
    10) i repositioned some of the frames to be on the path.
    11) press file > save for web and devices now click save

its too bad that gif is bad quality..
also as you can see a few frames in, theres an out line just rub it out with the eraser tool

It is officially too late for me to be trying to Photoshop... I can't come out with anything near what I want, but I'm sure that's due to complete lack of training.

LOL that's SO BEAST!!! I got it working, except for one thing. The glint goes backwards the way I want it to go, and reversing the tween doesn't seem to do the trick...any suggestions?

well you got to make sure that the glint on the first frame it starts at the bottom left where that line starts... then the second frame (before you tween) the glare needs to be at the top when it ends. oh and make sure the delay is 0.1 on all frames and reposition a few frames to be on the line so it looks like its following it
