my exe was changed and it still got me a week suspension. They are checking for something else, probably server side.

Hmmmm...there is also the possibility that they are using a low tech method. I've seen the CSR name "Frank" on two emails so far. They could just have a couple of guys going server by server and checking everyone running space missions. I'd figure it would be a high bust rate and every day the list of space botters would get smaller. More than one type of bot is getting hit (I use Lucky and another guy I talked to uses MG) so it isn't specific to the program.

Here is the origin one

Not that I want to start a legal debate( which u will loose) but this Does not in any way give ea legal right to collect any software / personal data outside the scope of swtor and marketing.
The simplest solution is usually the truth. Space bot's stick out like a white guy at the Apollo. Trades. Mail and interaction actions with know sellers or buyers. All supporting flags.
I for got. Who said it but they were dead on... Eliminating the compilation so they can sell their own credit hen f2p hits.
Just curious if you clicked EA's Origin scans your PC - NeoGAF

Yes I did and Again .. they dont have the legal right which is why they are being sued. If you follow that point to the nth... all and any actions they take because of a scan are also illegal and subject to Actions.
Ofcourse ... GOODLUCK WINNING. EatTHERiCH!!!!
I think we are stating 2 sides of a different coin. either way... more of a reason EA was voted Worst Company 3 years in row. They make a damn good hockey game. or did.

I reread the TOS.... I agreed to have my lips sown to a mans ass... and his inturn to another ass..... the non humanity
well i do agree that you have proven your point that they can and are scanning the users computer.
with that being said, changing the .exe name isnt going to make you undetectable lol. it may throw them off of the trail a little. but ultimately i would assume EA is a little smarter and would use some type of memory scanner that is looking for a repeated series of actions (like mouse clicks)
I hope so, because if its just that we can beat it with Random(0,xxx)
Or its searching for an active program with a certain hash. Maybe we should pool exactly what was everyone doing when they got suspended.
Ex
Amount of time spent botting
Type of bot
Time of day you were botting
was the bot stock(meaning did you edit the script at all)
That way we can figure out what they are using to detect it. Or at least have some data to extrapolate from.

One of my bots using using a renamed, customized (different hash) version of Lucky's got a suspension earlier. In all likelihood, it's simply a matter of investigating behavior outside the norm, i.e. number of quests done per level, total number of space missions done, space missions done per day, hours played per day, amount of activity not from space missions, etc. When enough red flags present themselves, your account probably makes the investigation list.
I've had a few bans and one suspension so far, but the account which has done the most botting and selling by far remains untouched. This account also has multiple characters that were leveled via questing and a great deal of "legitimate" play time. So make of that what you will...
