Thanks! We've been putting many hours into the bot over the past few weeks.

As Dark said, VMWare Workstation 8 is the only working VM solution we've found. Specifics on setting it up for SWToR can be found on page 19? or so of this thread. Essentially, use Win 7 x86 for the OS, give it 1 processor, 2 cores, and 3 GB memory, and be sure to choose a VM resolution which doesn't mess up the game's aspect ratio when set to 1024x768.

    Have fun!

    Suggestion and bug-report

Before actually trying to send a crew member on a mission (aka, clicking one of the three icons for the available crew skills, to bring up the Missions window), you should check if said member is already at work.
In case he/she is...the bot get stuck, trying to get a mission for him/her (this is happening to me, while my first crew member, Kaliyo, is crafting some Cybertech armoring)

    Another bug, less frequent though....
After the crew skills missions are selected....just before entering the galactic map (sitting on the chair), if a crew member return from a mission, you'll have the reward window showing through all the space mission, screwing it up.
So, after the initial check for the space mission timer, there should be a "reward check" to close said "reward window"

No, x64 just won't work. I've tried both XPs and both Win 7s, and Win 7 x86 is the only version to run the game properly in VMWare.

Thanks for the report! I'll take a look at these two issues for the next revision.

try installing quicktime. apparently it is used for rendering some of the videos and stuff? you may think this is stupid but only take a few minutes to download and install to test it.

also never use 64bit as was suggested

Ya well, for some reason SWTOR just eats up the RAM on 32bit and eventually crashes so I either have to find a way to fix that or to use x64 so that it can eat as much as it wants

yeah i am impressed y'all got it to bot space missions in a virtual machine at all. i just stick to multiple computers for this game.

right now my only real concern is figuring out how long i can bot space without being banned.

multiple computers means more electricity than just one computer, I can also do one on the host and one on the laptop and ofc then I won't be able to use neither of them and still have free resources on the host for 2 more so why should I waste that, anyway I'm open to ideas if anyone has some.... it was runnig perfectly till 2 days ago-.-

I just ran into an interesting issue, I just checked in on the bot and it was crashed but apparently it opened a copy of swtor and tried to open a shitload of extra ones too. Why is this and can it be disabled? I am using R248.

Hi sejin. A few posts back:

For the next revision, I've added a new password image which includes the outline, so the script will progress only after the field is available and populated. Also, code has been added which checks for the existence of the launcher window before attempting a restart. Other goodies as well - I'll post once it's ready.
These changes should resolve the issue you described. They will be included along with the 24 hour game schedule in the next revision. Working hard, it's on the way!

I have a little update on my recent memory issue, since it got very late and I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore, I just started my two accounts on the PC and on the Laptop (PC has 16GB RAM Laptop has 4GB both with x64 win 7), the interesting thing is that the RAM eating issue showed up ONLY on the PC, after roughly 5 hours SWTOR was using 2,835MB + 494MB RAM on the PC and, 1,207MB + 294MB RAM on the Laptop (leaving the laptop with 800-900 MB free RAM) so at first I thought that this is due the fact that it has more memory on the PC and it's eating whatever it can but then I thought why it didn't happen on the laptop why it stopped there at 1,2GB after running the same amount of missions? Why it didn't ate as much as it can and give me error that it doesnt have enough memory or whatever... Currently my laptop is at 2,73GB total out of 3,67GB usable RAM, the win alone is taking a little more than 1GB (the one that I was using on my VMs takes 400MB so in the end its pretty much the same thing)

Anyway I am not that deep yet into this kind of problems so I'm open to any ideas of what might be causing it and possible ways to fix it

One more thing that I noticed is that the game was running smoother on the Laptop than on the PC after eating the memory but still the bot was doing fine the difference is that the laptop had 0 Lost and PC had 1 lost

Another difference between the PC and the Laptop, the PC is with Win 7 Ultimate the laptop is with integrated Win 7 Home and with original License if this matters at all
