A packet logger is a program that looks at the network traffic going from/coming to your computer.

That program can be dumb to just print that traffic on your screen or intelligent enough to extract the information you a looking for from that traffic.

from my perspective: if you add zoom+fullbright, that would be a nice app

Hi maper,

Thanks a lot for providing interesting tools to analyze the PoE protocol. My current perspective is to find a way of sending a Path of Exile login packet from a 3rd party app (ex. running on a smartphone or another computer/internet connection), so that I can force a logout of any ongoing PoE session. This could potentially save a hardcore character in the event of a disconnect, client crash or computer crash.

Primarily I am motivated to save my own ***, because I'm almost certain that my character eventually will die from a hardware/external failure rather than an ingame event, and this aspect removes the fun for me. I also sense a demand for this elsewhere (ex. Petition to lower server timeout.).

Do any of you guys know, if there is a way to generate and send a login packet given an account name and (plaintext) password?
