Limited user is no longer safe ( maybe never was, GGG was just waiting for something).

My friend got banned today, used hud the entire delve league and he was using limited user.

I'm not banned cause I was not playing poe in the last weeks, busy with work and college. But I used hud in the first days of league. It seems they just added some kind of new detection in the last days.

PoeHud is getting all the blame for this....when in reality, it is most likely a rogue plugin....or they are using extra programs on top of poehud, such as zoomhack etc. They usually turn the anti-cheat off the week following the stash tab sale, so I would avoid using any cheats, including the HUD, until then. One week is plenty of time to find the culprit - and now that we know that the anti-cheat is enabled, we can learn more about it. It's only going to stay on for a week, though.

To our knowledge, they do not need to update to enable/disable or even change their anti-cheat. The anti-cheat gets delivered as a payload from the server, the client decrypts the payload, runs the payload, then removes it.

As has been the case since shortly after the Hud + maphack bans 3+ years ago.

During the last banwave in July, not everyone was affected by the anti-cheat at the same time. Some got banned immediately, some got banned a few days later, and many people didn't even get banned at all. Which leads me to believe that either the anti-cheat is being loaded manually and selectively, or only some gateways/realms are being armed and others are not.

We will eventually figure out how it works. But it looks like it's back to Cat and Mouse. Damn.

Hey there

one of my accounts got banned today 27.09. I was playing as LIMITED USER from very beginning of the Delve league. I also was not doing repetitive farming things like picking particular area or anything similar.
I used POEHUD without any additional plugins and I disabled item allert and sounds. I dont think it was suppose to make any help but I did it anyway just for test purposes. Seems it's illusory to think anyone can be safe using huge aplication such as POE CLIENT that interacts with ggg's servers using cheats. What I did is each time after gameplay i transfered all valuable items to my other account ( with many tabs ) so it hurts less after thay banned my level 91 char. I did not invest into TABS or any COSMETICS on this banned account. This way I managed to keep all of my items.Leveling another character is not that bad in DELVE.... This is only fuckn GAME isn't it ? .

P.S.

The only thing I regret of loosing this character is cute bird over my head.
I gave her even a NAME. She was perfect companion and more but a pet.

It's a blessing in disguise, if that is the case. The Hud, apparently, is detected even in limited user mode. If that is the case, tehcheat should keep it broken until we figure out how to beat the anti-cheat.

been running limited user since before incursion. play everyday, probably 5-10hrs. No ban.

I think its a "people don't know how to correctly setup/use the limited user" issue.

Also, people lie. I don't believe many of those that claim they didnt use a map hack or some other tool after being banned.

I meant 'a blessing in disguise' for tehcheat, so he doesn't have to hear 'I got banned by using poehud'...but that is a moot point that is nullified by the fact that he now how has to listen to people beg for poehud to be fixed. I feel bad for tehcheat. I really do.

I guess he mostly ignores the 'I am banned because of poehud' messages, unless people list their used plugins and even then, you can't be sure if its true like cornflake101 said. Using hud with the same plugins as cornflake101 since league started, played 4 chars to 90+ and a few to 70+, used PoeHUD all the time (Game is literally unplayable without PoeHUD), still no ban - limited user though.
