Tehcheat / any other coders, is it really possible for PoE to detect its memory being read by other running processes?

Could the cheat detection be strictly based on player behavior? For example, seeing the "valuable essence (Recommend: Corruption)" notice on entering a map and then going home immediately to get a remnant of corruption from stash? I've done this often enough and thought, shit, if GGG is watching, I could get fucked for this

I dunno I havnt done that in a long while personaly I havnt used the hud to farm anything in a while just using it to see icons/mobs on the map and I still got the warning so all I cant think of is they detected a certain aspect of the hud what part I dont know

Ive been trying to act like a normal player and not doing things like you said and havent done any map spawning in hopes of farming better something what i can see in highlight.

For clarity, botters did not get this warning. They were banned outright as usual.

Today we widened the net of cheating tools we ban for and are giving this one-off warning for map hacks and tools that show you information that isn’t normally visible. People who ignore it will be banned in a few days.

There won’t be any more warnings, even if you didn’t get this message on your own account.

Honestly i could easily keep using poehud if the highlighter part only got hit and get rid of it

No warning for me at all, I'm based in AU.

I only use PoeHud.

I have to be completely honest. The basic vanilla game is a steaming pile of garbage and not even worth playing without PoeHud. If PoeHud closed down or I got banned for using it, I'd sell my POE game account and not return. The game is punishing and user-unfriendly enough, as it is, let alone having to deal with useless customer support, their garbage servers and the persistent game breaking issues they have.
