I never used this tool before, however when I opened the program checked the boxes that I wanted they seemed to work but when I closed the game and restarted the software the boxes were all unchecked but the game settings did not reset and the effects are removed. It is not like I want to reset them but the question is why software doesn't save the changes and recognize them so it doesnt confuse the user?

Use the tool only once, and the effects are active until a big patch hits the game.

I have problem with zero effects box.
When active all item links disappreat and i can't find any resolve to that.
Figured out that when i check all boxes it also occurs and if i only dont chack globe girls box they dont disappear but the game lags more randomly or before using skill and sometimes poe gives errors.

hi i need help, i'm trying to completely remove desecrated ground,acid lakes fog every useless ground effect(like completely remove shocking/burning ground)i managed to remove the ice ground with that info you posted some comments below its great but when i tried to do the same thing with desecrated ground i keep getting missing files so i guess i'm doing something wrong. could someone help me? thanks.

Extract the files you want to modify..in both places (restoreDefault-removeEffects), than modify them on removeEffects side. You must have the same files on both sides.

i want this too, blood too a lot bodies lag me a lot and i think removing blood would help a lot ,i would remove bodies but it hides minions too.
