I talked about the stuttering issue with Zaafar yesterday, having a similar problem. My ingame fps counter shows 158, no matter if hud is turned on or off (no jumps). However with hud running the game just isnt smooth, there are microstutters, where it feels like every 30 frames 2 are skipped, which makes the screen jump tiny bits every second, would be great to get an answer from the cheat on this one.

Check out the following comparison. Same session, character in the same area (hideout) with only difference being poehud not running in second picture.

    With poehud running:
    Attachment 56564

    Without poehud running:
    Attachment 56565

This is on a i7, 32gb ram, Nvidia 1080 GTX. Game is running in 2560x1440 borderless window.

Dont misunderstand me tho, i dont have an issue with the performance, it doesnt drop below 60ish and i dont notice anything while playing, but poehud IS sucking quite a lot of performance out of the game.
I think this amount of performance reduction is normal when running an overlay at 2560x1400 res vs not running an overlay at 2560x1400
Keep in mind that HUD needs keep updating the screen just like game is updating it at your FPS rate....

only heavy task HUD is doing is printing on the screen,

Hey there. its not really something important but just wanted to point out that there are some dps calculation discrepancies
    Poe.trade also says 701 while poe.hud counts 697
    [spoiler]

The only place where (I think) we can optimize stuff is when we are monitoring number of Entities ( monsters and stuff ) around us.
    PoEHUD/EntityListWrapper.cs at b6796b97814ecaf113fc98889759542fc90a6936 * TehCheat/PoEHUD * GitHub

that function is creating new caching and deleting the old one on every iteration...
but even if we stop calling that function ( commenting it ), you will still see performance issue due to the fact that PoeHUD is creating a big overlay over the game.

I dont think its so much a raw performance issue, it might just be the overlay and the game having different framerates, would it be possible to link the huds framerate to the games framerate?

if we do that, things like flask manager would become very slow when there are lots of mobs and etc.

Thanks for the feedback, zaafar. I understand there will be limitations with regard to the overlay. On my system it is close to 50% drop, so if i move out of the hideout to an area with not much going on the game will run at around 200fps without poehud and down towards 100fps with it running.

But again as i said, its not a problem for me really, i just needed to point it out that even higher performance systems see a drop (at least with some setups).

RE: the performance issue for us with 60+ FPS, I found an interesting band aid fix if you're only using PoEHUD for static elements like pre loads and item tool tips. Using Riva Tuner or anything that can cap a framerate and make it cap PoEHUD at 1 FPS. My game now runs as if PoEHUD isn't on.

Obviously don't do this i you actually want the moving elements like HP bars and so on, but for me this is a good compromise as I don't really use HUD for that stuff.

I agree with that, however you can't use plugins such as flask manager,

How about we cap poehud at 30 or 60 per second.
    Provide it in options maybe?

One drawback to this approach is that some plugins are using additional sleep.
Which will be like very slow. We will have to analyze / update each and every plugin containing sleep in it.

2, plugins that are using threads would be out of control of this FPS limit.
