Please be very careful with the new version. I had to reformat my computer and I got around to downloading - GitHub - TehCheat/PoEHUD
I ran the .bat as administrator and it opened several programs on my computer to access control. After it was completed I lost full mouse control. I had to restart my computer and it was running very funky. I did not take a screenshot of this but can an admin please scan or check the file to see if they experienced what I did?
I have used this program for several weeks prior to having to reformat my computer and this only happened when I downloaded the program again.
I ran the "shortcut.bat" in the main folder. Any suggestions? What is this and what did I open??

and I though removing dll from the exe would be enough for the community. #kill-me #bangTheHeadOnTheWall
Someone please add some extra logic to that shortcut file plz!!!!
If I did not reply to you, it mean the question you are asking is stupid.

You ran the bat file as administrator. I just "called someone stupid" on the last page because of that. If you look at what that file does, it runs every .exe in the folder it's run from. When you run something as administrator, it runs from the system32 folder. So you ran every exe in the system32 folder.
Side question, is there a reason people feel the need to run something as administrator? Do we have instructions somewhere that say to run as admin?

I do it without realizing sometimes not sure why, others could do that too who knows.

Why not a small program that runs exe from said location, or is that not what is wanted?
From my pov that would make less things go wrong.
//e Ive made a small console app that should do the trick, warning if multiple poehuds are found and giving you an option to continue to load all exe.
GitHub - DetectiveSquirrel/Start_PoeHUD
Im unsure the route i would take if anything else would be added, like giving the user an option to select which path it looks at when searching for .exe's
But for now this eliminates the "i ran as admin why did it open everything" thing, unless they MOVE the file to another location then they will get the error finding multiple exe's

Make a check in the bat file. Run the command "net session" and look at output, if file is run without elevation it will generate "access denied".
There are also commands in powershell to fix this, as well as on win10 (at least) the title of the command window will tell you if run with elevated privileges.
Lastly, "cd" has similar function as "pwd", it will print current path, if path contains system32 then bat is run as administrator.

But I was able to get it to work by closing PoE, opening a couple of other programs (from my experience, the bigger the better), then reopening PoE (and then closing the other programs if desired). This forces Windows to shuffle around the layout of PoE's memory.
can I bump that pls?
still doesn't help, I don't get which apps should I run before POE+hud

Double-clicking something isn't cool enough for some people, I guess?
IMO nothing needs to change, the batch works as designed. You could spend even more time on something that was even easier to use, and people would still manage to screw it up somehow. Plus it's sort of entertaining to see people freak out about "what virus they just downloaded".

delete the poehud folder and re-download it from scratch.

I vaguely remember this having an auto-logout built in to it, not sure if it was the base program or auto-flask plugin. What happened to it/what are people using?
