Hey, I am also very interested in learning this. I have been playing since release, don't remember the first server, but since then on karak-azgal and now on norn. I've been playing order for the majority of my time in the game, but have recently switched to destruction, hence the need for this method and like you said in the original post, there is barely a market for selling stuff on AH anymore. Some more peeps showed their interest, or do you really expect many more responses for a Warhammer Onine thread? In my opinion this is already a lot for, as you mentioned, a dying game. Additionally I know a lot players that are not interested in thinks like duping, abusing game mechanics and some don't even use any addons.
I just want to say it would be nice to hear from you again!

In the meantime I began to guess how it could work, since you wrote indirectly that you only need one char with access to guild bank, the rumors I heard about two chars simultaneously moving an object in the guild bank to different places is to be dropped then. Could it be that you have to move an object at high speed between bank and your backpack, or has it to do with crashing the client while you have your hands in the bank? Questions upon questions

I check this thread at least one time a day, every day for over two weeks now and hope every time to finally start duping the hell out of WAR

OK, sorry I haven't posted back. I've been considering just PMing certain people with details and what not but I think I'll just post it here to see how lulzy it is when Mythic still doesn't fix it.

5:00 AM EASTERN TIME US. Figure out timezones for yourselves. It works for approximately one hour while the server's automated backups are being performed. I'll post the details for the more complicated method of duping single items later since I'm short on time right now... but I digress. Place the items you want to dupe in a preferably empty guild bank tab. If you don't have one empty, make it as roomy as you can by moving everything else to one side or something. Just put your dupe items all in a row for convenience and then start wildly clicking and dragging the items to empty slots. It could take up to 30 seconds before the lag hits but once you see the items freezing up for a while you're doing it right. Continuously drag them back and forth and drop them into every empty slot possible. Specifically, I like to line up my stuff on the bottom row and then just start dragging them upwards into open space since that's easiest for me for some reason but whatever works for you is fine. After another 15-30 seconds you'll begin seeing duplicates of the items appearing. Just keep dragging everything around very quickly without letting off to let the lag cease. Tip: Some items will randomly grey out and stop allowing you to move them. To un-grey them, simply right click them. If that doesn't work, close the guild bank window and re-open it and it will un-grey everything at once. To dupe gold, you need to get your hands on Skull White Dye. It vendors for 80g per stack of 20 and you can dupe about 10k worth every 5-10 mins. Make sure you clear out your bags before starting so you can haul as much dye to the vendor in each trip as possible. I have gotten up to 100k gold per night in the allotted hour.

I have an appointment to get to, but I will reply back again with more tips and details. Hope this helps everyone... I'm sure it will since a working dupe is probably the best exploit you could ever hope to find in an MMO! Enjoy.

Edit: Just wanted to edit quick and say Skull White Dye is the only EPIC quality dye that can be vendored so if you're sitting on Ulgu Grey or Chaos Black it will not help you. Also, you cannot vendor the Endless dyes. That goes without saying since you can create them at your will, but I just thought I'd save poor nitwits a few minutes of their time haha.

But I think I need some more practice, because sometimes some stacks are just disappearing in the clicking orgy and then lost forever...bad if you have two pieces of sth and then end up with only one^^

That's why I recommend beginning with at least 4 stacks. Some WILL get lost, you're not doing it wrong. I did forget to mention that and I do apologize.

How are you able to produce that amount of gold? I know I am very inexperienced with this, but i seem to be able to get around 15k if I really try... Not that I don't believe you, just seems crazy. Also are you using some kind of clicker or doing it manually? and do you know which method is better? Thanks.

Manually clicking. I can fill the bank tab with dupes in approximately 3 to 4 mins and then it vendors out for 10k each time, with like 3 mins travel time to the nearest vendor and back.

Some items kept greying and stayed grey, only managed to dupe one stack of scarabs.

do u keep trying to drag them while grey?
do you try and drag items to multiple locations to "trick" it or just drag randomly into one single slot at a time?

Tried it during the usual time period today on KN but no lag occurred...or is it because the recent maintenance and there was no need for a backup?

Yeah it didn't work today, I think it's because of last days maintenance... Let's face it, it's mythic and like Gkelter said they dont know/not going to fix this, at least I highly doubt it.

This exploit may finally be fixed after 4+ years of working. They moved their servers to the "Cloud" and I believe they either removed, randomized, (or hopefully) just changed the time in which the server backs up.

On 2/21 I tried duping at the following times (all times in server time - EST)

I wasn't succsesfull with duping either.

I tried it on 2/22 at the following times (GMT+1)

Additionally every time I prompt the command '/time' it showed: The current time is 0:00:00.

Maybe we have to wait some days after the hardware upgrade or they finally fixed it...
