Hey guys, just wanted to post some statistics here. Keep in mind that most of the forum leechers that copy and paste my posts from here to other forums keep the download link as well. In my opinion, the numbers show that there really aren't huge amounts of people using this software.

Yes this has gotten WAY out of hand. I see ppl all the time in oRvR using it to walk through keep walls and flying all over the place. There was an IB that claimed he got the lockpick skill and walked through the side door of a keep. I only use this in PvE Instas to solo boss mobs. I agree with you 110%. All it takes is a handful of kids to mess things up for everyone.

*Didn't want to leave the conversation there because I don't want anyone to think that I'll report you for using HackPack. However, don't think for one second that if you're using HackPack or the DLL to take pleasure or fun from regular players (who are trying to take a keep by legitmate means) that I won't report you. I believe in making the *GRIND* a bit easier for everyone, maybe some blatent cheating now and then when nobody else is around or your server is completely dead. My own personal hacking fun is to solo private instance group content, which I still find quite difficult and time consuming with HackPack. Just remember to use your brain because your actions with our tools can either get us all noticed or keep us all safe from Mythic taking measures.

About your numbers.... I seen the dll and hackpack posted on other forums (just cant remember what ones right now but if you want I will find them again) and had links to these files that wasnt coming through MMOwned. In the US Servers there are only around 200k subs active (this includes AU players) with 686 going to the US/AU servers from MMOwned alone and who knows how many are coming from other public forums that ppl have leeched from. Oh and your numbers are only within 10 days.... Thats ALOT for 10 days

I am with you Pharmer in regards to not reporting people. It is never good karma to fry one of your own, even if they are acting stupid. It will eventually land someone else reporting you because you were using their grind spot or something insane (think about Glider in WoW and people doing all types of bonkers crap just to get the best xp per hour!).

Those numbers are pretty crazy, but I also like to consider the fact that people are probably getting bored. I've been playing MMOs for a long time now.... I don't even want to think how long I have been actually it is gross! But it started for me when i was bored of the normal game mechanic and wanted more.... Or something different to do. With WAR it has been quite a bit different of course, but I think that I am at a different point now where it is what I want out of the game.

Guess we will see what goes on during the next few days. I'll probably just grind it out a bit in scenarios *shrug*

This hack is necessary if you are into levelling a 4th or 5th character or whatnot, and thats what i use it for. At one time i was using the los hack as well, but lately i've stopped using it. The Warrior Priest is quite imba without it. With it, well...

The autoloot function is so far my favourite feature. I can't play without it ever since i found out how much of that stuff i am actually missing out on while playing without it.

However. I do come across players that use the hack on EU server, but quite sparingly so far. No one seems to overdo it

i dont mind people useing hacks in pvp, i use the los hack myself. but i dont shoot through walls and i dont use it in oRvR. But if someone jumps in the spotlight like this, its plain stupid. I also encourge everybody to report players the obviously use hacks in PvP. They deserve the ban, not for using hacks, but for letting you see it.
If someone is obviously just grinding items or XP in PvE, just let him be.

The problem that i see here, is that , if mythic decides to go after the dll, i'll not have the time and resources to go against that. Defeating detection mechanisms is not what i will use my time for. Meaning the dll will no longer be available for most of you.

I did that for a while with the Warden, its no fun and it ruined hacking quickly for me.

Anyways expect people to do stupid things if you keep teleport/float/etc in the DLL. If you want to go back to a lower profile, I think the only thing would be to remove the hacks from the DLL again. Go back to 'just' allowing people to bot.

Be glad that (from what it seems) anti cheat detection isnt high on the priority list atm.

i'am no expert on PB, but beeing prepared for something that isnt even active yet seems like a marketing only feature.

I'll think about removing the hacks from dll.

It will block the hacks in case pb goes active so you can't get banned...

You could remove the obvious hacks for public and keep the good hacks for the donators...

Remember, the "kids" can continue hacking LOS & wallwalking with the other comercial hacks (vgbvddy) ... maybe is not only your dll and hackpack.

How can a commercial hack stop process-scanning, memory checks, etc? PB can be updated on the fly, how can you prepare for that?

I doubt its so easy to defeat PB, otherwise it would have never been as big in the FPS world as it is. However what I do think is that PB doesnt fit into the MMO world very well.

You cant just kick a paying customer off your server because you suspect him of cheating, you have to be sure. Otherwise lawsuits would follow.

Anyways, I think it might already be too late for WAR anyway. Servers are getting less and less crowded, more server mergers, etc. I doubt WAR will survive another year. If this keeps up, DAoC will have more players online

I'm also a big fan of the battlefield series and hack like crazy there too.
Pb had one big trump,back when they used to scan our computers for strings.
After guys like blackdove hacked that system so EVERYONE got reported,they had to take it out in fear of lawsuits.
Since then it has become somewhat of a useless tool. They had one more banwave about 5 months ago and that got hacked in less than a day by virtually all hacksites. I'm still a member at elitehax and it's running without a hitch ever since.
I'm sure that the guys over at mythic know this very well and that's most likely the reason it doesn't activate it until pb finds a way to pester the hackers again.
